Go Back to School
William asked Valentina two days ago whether Grey would be staying for long. Valentina told him Grey was to leave soon, yet days went by, and Grey was still there.
When he asked, Valentina said Grey was sick.
William's first reaction was that Grey was feigning pain, moaning without suffering, or pretending to be ill, just like he had done before.
Grey's goal was to prevent him from meeting Valentina and Grey could even threaten Valentina with his illness, surely undertaking some sort of brainwashing, trying to persuade Valentina not to be with William.
Unexpectedly, Grey really got sick.
Looking at the photo of Grey, half-dead on the bed, sent by Valentina, William felt like he was being narrow-minded.
Grey fell sick.
A sickness of overbearing anger, an outburst of his fiery heart.
A sentence from Valentina - "His kiss was truly nice" made Grey so infuriated that he blacked out, and he hadn't recovered even after lying on the bed for an entire day.
Tim laughed for a day, nor had he recovered.
William didn't expect Grey to be this possessive of Valentina to the point of falling ill out of anger, and he was jealous.
Who knew Valentina could say something so shocking to break Grey's heart?
Valentina took a photo of the pitiful state Grey was in and sent it to William, while asking Grey, "I am taking your picture to show him, do you want to strike a pose?"
It was a good thing that Grey was young and resilient. If he were twenty or thirty years older, Valentina's words could have given him a stroke, resulting in hemiplegia.
Before returning to Montavia, Grey made the biggest compromise.
"Don't let William show up in front of me, don't let me see him, otherwise I can't guarantee what I might do.
"What's more, you could have a love affair at most, baby. If you dare to marry him, I will definitely bring people with tools to make a scene."
Thinking Valentina might marry William in the future, and even give birth to children for that bastard William, Grey felt like he could bang his head against the villa gate and die.
Valentina said, "But you surely don't have as much as him."
Grey almost vomited blood in anger.
Valentina went back to school.
Before going back, she sent a message to Augus, but she didn't get a reply. When she got to the department, she went straight to the second year's teaching building. At the entrance of the classroom, she took a look inside.
Augus was sitting quietly in his seat, answering test questions. The students around him were chatting in small groups, and he was in his own little world, which made Valentina see the solitary and silent Augus when his foot was not well.
"Augus." She knocked on the classroom door.
Augus was stupefied for a moment before looking up.
The reactions of other students were much faster than Augus's. "It's Valentina! Is she back to class? When did she come back?"
"Val..."
Augus paused for a moment, then quickly got up and ran towards the door.
Augus, who dashed over, embraced Valentina tightly.
After being absent for such a long time, Valentina's returning to school inevitably caused quite a stir, attracting numerous freshmen who rushed over to catch a glimpse of the commotion.
Gabriel received the news and ran out, only to be tripped over by his pet husky, which sent him sprawling and landing under the sofa. Luckily, he didn’t knock into the table.
The silly husky, excited, began playing a game of leaping back and forth over Gabriel.
Richard was scared. Seeing the dashing and excited husky, he felt an urge to use his cane.
"You rascal, imitating others in keeping a dog. Look at the brain-lacking creature you’re keeping, that's exactly like you!
"This new sofa was just delivered yesterday but got chewed on by it again. You're better off keeping your car instead of this troublesome creature!"
The angrier Richard got, the more excited the husky became.
Watching the husky jumping up and down, Richard felt like he was going to get sick from the irritation, "You, idiot! You’ve got a perfectly normal dog but you decide to keep a mad dog at home, you’re set on upsetting me!"
Gabriel said, "Grandpa, I'm going to school, can you help me stop Valriel from running around? Don’t hit him it!"
As he spoke, Gabriel bolted outside, disappearing in a flash.
Richard roared, "Valriel? What the hell is that name?"
Valentina and Augus were walking along the corridor when they saw a tall figure in the distance, reminiscent of a gorilla entering an animal city. The loud voice was as clear and resonant as ever, "Valentina!"
Excessively excited, Gabriel opened his arms wide towards Valentina.
Valentina swiftly dodged to the side, hands remaining tucked in her pockets.
Gabriel embraced thin air before turning around. "Valentina, why didn't you tell me when you came back?"
"Have you grown out your hair?"
Touching his head, Gabriel incidentally draped an arm over Augus's shoulder. "Handsome, isn't it?"
"Why are you still in school?"
If she recalled correctly, Gabriel had already graduated from his senior year.
"Pursuing a master's degree."
Valentina was surprised.
"I don't have much going for me apart from being studious."
Suddenly serious, he leaned in and lowered his voice. "Valentina, tell me honestly, has William confined you?"
"What would his motive be?"
Analyzing meticulously, Gabriel said, "He's trying to make you submit. I can’t even bear to imagine the details, but William’s methods are truly ruthless. Even murder and body disposal could be possible. I heard he even called in a monk to chant scriptures. Clearly, he's done too many evil deeds, just like your grandma in the Doyle family, and now he's afraid of ghosts knocking on his door."
"And yet you dare to accept the car he gifted."
During her unconsciousness stage, William sent a Koenigsegg One:1 to Gabriel on her behalf.
Gabriel clarified, "It was gifted in your name. It has nothing to do with the Felton family.
"Valentina, where on earth have you been this year? I've even climbed over the wall of the Felton family to look for you. I asked my grandfather to send people to Felton family, and he nearly broke my leg. It can't be because something happened to your mean mother and sister, can it?"
After saying that, realizing Augus was there, Gabriel quickly shut up and playfully explained, "Ha-ha, I didn't mean that. I wasn't talking about you."
Valentina changed the topic and asked Augus, "You didn't reply to my messages, didn't you see it?"
Augus took out his phone, refreshed it, and there was no reaction. "I didn't receive it, the signal must be having problems again."
"Again?"
Gabriel blurted out, "Valentina, you might not know this, but Biddeford University, no, our entire country, has been badly bullied by those foreign jerks. It's because you said that Hacker S and Y were ours, which made that jackass Reiz spread it to that Hacker Empire. Those foreigners got so mad and provoked us. Our school's security system has been attacked by so many hackers. Even those who know a little bit dared to step in. Sometimes, while in the class, a middle finger can just pop out on the screen." Gabriel graphically described, lifting up his middle finger.
"So much research data got destroyed. Mr. Jefferson's hair turned all white, and a few of the neighboring schools also suffered."
