Break into the Principle's Office

The math teacher put down the paper in his hand with a serious expression. "As for someone, I don't know whether to call her bold or naive, or perhaps she thinks the school is the naive one." "Considering her feelings, we did not publicize her cheating, but she seems eager to make it known to all." "Cheat? Are you referring to me?" Valentina's expression was indifferent, her face revealed no emotion, leaving people wondering what was on her mind. Those familiar with her, however, knew that the calmer she was, the more dangerous she could be. "Is there another cheater in the whole grade?" "Evidence?" "Evidence?" The teacher found it amusing and laughed out loud. Looking at the test paper on Valentina's desk, he asked, "Do you still need evidence?" "I've been teaching for so many years and I've encountered all kinds of students who cheat. But this is the first time I've seen someone like you who dares to challenge the teacher in class after cheating. I have to say your bravery is admirable. If you had put the same courage into your studies, your grades would not look like this." "However, I must admit that I have underestimated you. I thought with your capabilities, even if you were to cheat, you wouldn't be able to understand what you were copying. But against my expectations, you copied quite successfully," said the teacher with a trace of "appreciation" in his voice. "You're a girl. Instead of learning good things, you learn all the bad tricks. You're usually so quiet, but surprisingly bold. This time, you've really given me a new perspective on you." "After all that, you still can't produce any evidence, right?" Seeing Valentina persistently impudent and endlessly defiant even after cheating, daring to challenge her with such attitude and tone, the teacher lost her patience. "So you think that you, who scored five points in the last mock exam, could score full marks this time? Others, when copying homework, at least know to make a few changes. Even if you were to cheat, couldn't you at least make it look less conspicuous? Ask your classmates. Do they believe you could score full marks?" "You say you didn't cheat. Fine, I won't ask about anything else. But can you explain how you solved the last major question? Even Byron from Class One only got the first part right, but you solved the entire thing correctly. Do you think you're better than Byron?" Valentina said, "Why can't I? Just because he can't do it, does it mean no one else can? Are you saying that underperforming students can't make progress in your eyes?" "Valentina, my original plan was only to have you reflect on this during Monday's flag-raising ceremony next week. If you keep acting up like this, with your cheating, you won't even be able to take the SAT." "With no evidence, you are convicting a student based merely on prejudice and threatening her with eligibility for a SAT, I think your days as a teacher are numbered." As soon as Valentina said these words, the whole class was buzzing in shock. Everyone looked incredulously at Valentina. "Holy cow, she's brave to say that." "These two sentences are extraordinary. How did we not notice before how awesome she is? She must have felt some sort of stimulus that triggered this sudden transformation." "But honestly, if I were to cheat, I still wouldn't be able to answer this last question. With her usual five-point score, how the heck did she manage to do it?" "Damn, did she steal the answers? I heard she turned in the paper in less than twenty minutes. Even if she were copying, she couldn't possibly copy that fast, could she?" "Hey, did you guys notice she got thinner?" "I noticed it a while ago. Honestly, she looks quite pretty when she's slim. She would probably look good if she were to lose weight again." "She definitely looks different." The teacher was shocked that Valentina would dare to say such things, and was momentarily at a loss for words. She could only gasp for breath and bang on the table in anger. "Valentina, what on earth are you trying to do?" "Simple. Provide the evidence that proves I cheated. If you can't, then correct my score. And also, apologize to me." The last few words from Valentina were spoken resolutely and powerfully. "Evidence? What more evidence do I need? Your test paper stands as ironclad proof! Go home and ask your parents whether you could score this high!" The teacher was exasperated, unable to control her emotions. As she was about to say something, Valentina suddenly stood up. "What are you doing?" Valentina kicked the obstructing chair out of her way and strode out of her seat toward the door. "Valentina, what are you going to do? Get back to your seat!" But Valentina didn't even look back and casually tossed out a reply. "I'm finding someone who's not deaf and blind and can understand human language." "How dare you speak to your teacher like that, stop right there!" The teacher was livid and chased her out of the room. "Holy shit, she's so badass." Valentina headed straight for the principal's office. Valentina was caught cheating and was given a zero on the test, but she stubbornly confronted the teacher, insisting on her innocence. She shamelessly demanded a grade and even went as far as storming into the principal's office seeking justice. This incident quickly spread throughout the entire school. Students from other classes commented, "She had the audacity to ask for a grade even after cheating. Is she insane? What is she thinking about?" Students from Class Eight chimed in, "Those few words of hers were damn cool." The math teacher was the first to arrive, followed swiftly by the deputy principal, the grade director, and Valentina's homeroom teacher. Before long, seven or eight teachers were gathered in the Principal’s office. On learning that the protagonist of this incident was Valentina, all of them shook their heads. The mild-mannered grade director advised calmly, "To be able to rectify one's mistake is of great virtue. This matter can be made a big deal or let go depending on the attitude. Further stubbornness could really affect the SAT. Go back to class now." Facing the intimidation of the school leaders, any other student would have been petrified, but Valentina stood her ground, full of resolve. "I demand to speak to my invigilator and also someone from surveillance. If not, I'll see you all in court." Everyone present couldn't help but laugh at her audacity, even the usually good-natured grade director looked at Valentina as though she was a fool. "I'm not joking," Valentina said, her patience wearing thin. "Court? With your family's condition, you probably can't even foot the bill for a lawyer." The math teacher snorted mockingly, rolling his eyes. "Judging by your behavior, I suppose it's because your concussion from falling down the stairs hasn't healed yet. Instead of paying for a lawyer, your parents might want to take you to the hospital for a check-up." Valentina decided to ignore them and took out her cell phone, calmly dialing a number with no regard for their reactions. Upon seeing that, the homeroom teacher almost started swearing, "Valentina, phones are not allowed in our school!" She even had the audacity to use it in front of the principal. The homeroom teacher stepped forward, ready to confiscate her phone. Avoiding his grasp, Valentina warned, "You are seizing my private property. Do you also want to be sued?" "You…" Just when the call connected, a calm male voice came through, "Hello?" Valentina immediately put it on speaker, "Is this Tim Babbitt?" "This is Tim. May I ask who this is, and how did you get my private number?" "An anonymous friend gave it to me. I have a lawsuit here that I'd like to entrust to your firm. Could you send a lawyer over as soon as possible?" "Tim?" Upon hearing that name, the principal immediately straightened his back. Tim was the gold-standard lawyer in the legal industry. He rose to fame with no losses ever since his career started, virtually monopolizing the entire industry with his private law firm, only accepting major cases. He was a sought-after lawyer that countless public companies strive to secure. People were unable to retain him even with money. Even the distinguished Felton Family from Biddeford once put forth a high price attempting to hire him as both the personal lawyer of William and the head of the Legal Affairs Department of the Felton Group, but Tim rejected them all. Could a teenager have Tim's private contact information? Additionally, she brazenly demands Tim to send someone over to fight her lawsuit. The current generation of students was really being misled by the phony stuff on the Internet... The school principal shook his head, thinking that if Valentina wasn't being deceived, then she must have gone mad.
