Chapter 436
Sabrina was lying in Sebastian’s arms and did not move. She passively listened to him as he communicated with the other person on the phone.
“I know. I would arrange a time to bring her to try it on.”
“If there should be any good rubies in the future, keep it too.”
“Her fingers are very thin. I’ll bring her to be sized, and we will see.”
All the exchanges made on the phone were about “her”.
Who could “she” be?
Could it be her, Sabrina?
A thought flashed past, and Sabrina could not help it and laughed at herself. ‘You’re overthinking.’
The man hung up the phone and put it back on top of the bedside table. He lowered his head and looked at the woman in his arms. The woman’s smooth yet messy hair spread across his chest, which made her palm-size face even smaller to the point that it was almost invisible.
She shut her eyes tightly, and her long and curled eyelashes twitched a little. He could tell that she was not asleep.
However, she seemed so calm.
She was so calm that she seemed like a porcelain doll with no vitals.
No vitality?
Her vitality was more vigorous than anyone else’s. She took care of the paralyzed Zayn by herself and raised Aino into the strong and mischievous girl she was throughout the six years of escaping.
After returning to South City, she was still the woman who was calm and indifferent even when granted favors.
She seemed not to wish to fight and resigned herself to adversity. However, she was incomparably unyielding and stubborn.
If she were a woman who had resigned herself to adversity and prioritized personal gains and losses, she would have been on her knees crying and explaining a hundred times when Sebastian saw her having coffee with Nigel.
However, she did not give a word of explanation.
She was just so bold.
She was so bold but in an innocent and pitiful manner.
“There had not been any woman like you in the world who had such unreasonable robber-like logic,” The man said without reason, then he reached out to pull her out of the covers.
She opened her eyes and looked at him.
She could not understand him any more than he said she had an unreasonable robber-like logic.
Last night, the two of them were at the rooftop garden, and they sat on the swing with his arm wrapped around her. Although the wind at night was cold, she felt warm. After a night of sleep, the first sentence he spoke once he opened his mouth was to say she was a robber.
Indeed, if one insisted on putting a fault on someone else, how could it be impossible to find a reason?
“Mmm.” The woman’s tone was soft with a tinge of hoarseness from just being woken up.
The man was speechless.
He got up, pulled his closet door open to get his clothes, then looked at her while putting on his shirt.
She, on the other hand, was still sitting under his covers with her hair hung loosely.
The man was puzzled. “What was the matter? Were you waiting for me to dress you, or did you want to be lazy and not send your daughter to kindergarten?”
Sabrina regained her senses and uttered, “Uh…” She quickly got out of bed like a kitten and quickly ran outside.
“What are you doing?” The man raised his hand, and with a pull, he restrained her in his arms.
Sabrina looked at Sebastian in shock. “Why… are you stopping me?”
“Woman! You truly are the robber I said you were, and I had never seen such a fierce one like you! Were you going to go out like that?” asked the man
Sabrina then realized that she had not even a strip of cloth covering her body.
