Chapter 790 Tactics In Winning Her Dream Guy's Heart 2

The next morning, Boyle was watching the stock market on his tablet in the living room. Hector came out from his room while scratching his short and messy hair as he asked "Are you going to school today, Boyle? If you aren't, could you help do my laundry today? Heheh." "No. I need to head over to a law firm today. However, I have something important I need you to bring to school with you." Hector came over and asked, "What's this important thing?" Boyle handed Hector a white phone. Hector picked up the phone and inspected it. There were even some cute stickers all over the back of it. This obviously belonged to a girl. He asked, "How did you even come across a female junior's phone?" "First-year, English program, Cherie Fudd. Take a trip there and return the phone back to her." Hector's eyes glimmered as he said, "Well played, Boyle! Oh, well played indeed! You only spent a few days to charm the little girl! Best you come clean now. Are you dating her?" Without even looking away from the screen, Boyle replied calmly, "Do you actually think I have the time to play games with that little girl?" Hector rubbed his nose as he thought to himself, 'Fair point. No one understands Boyle better than I do since I've known him for so many years now.' There was only one thing Boyle was focused on in his life and that was making lots of money. When Hector thought about Cherie's adorable little face, he sighed and intentionally said, "Sigh. Miss Fudd's fragile heart will be completely shattered by you. You’re completely inept when it comes to dating." Boyle's gaze dimmed as he continued to ignore him. … Cherie was desperately searching for a Wi-Fi signal with her tablet in the cafeteria. However, she received no notifications from her Facebook. That was odd. Why did Boyle not contact her? Whitney teased her, "Maybe Boyle has already sold your phone in the secondary market since it's pretty valuable." Cherie wiped her sweat as she said, "Boyle isn't like that." After they were done with breakfast and she parted ways with Whitney, she made her way to her classroom. It did not take long for Mandy who was sitting beside her to tug her arm. She told her, "Hey, Cherie, someone's looking for you outside." Cherie's dark beady eyes lit up as she was certain it must be Boyle. She got up and went out. However, when the man turned around, Cherie's smile instantly turned stiff. "You’re…" Hector spoke with a smile, "You must be disappointed Boyle isn't the one who delivers this to you, right?" Cherie was speechless as she blushed at his remark. Hector handed her phone back to her and said, "I’m Boyle's roommate, Hector Zachary. You can call me Hector. Boyle told me to return this phone to you. You should keep something as important as this more properly next time. You might not be able to get it back if someone else were to find it in the future." Cherie nodded and said, "Thanks, Hector." "Don't worry about it. If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way then." Cherie could not help but call out to him, "Hey, Hector… Why did Boyle make you send this over? Where is he?" Since Hector was not as money-minded as Boyle, he knew immediately what she meant. He smiled and said, "Oh, him? He has some work to take care of today so he wasn’t able to come over. Well, you should know that third-year students are all busy with work." Cherie could not help but be curious about Boyle's matters. "Boyle's still looking for a job?" "Well, no. You know how excellent of a student he is, so he has absolutely no need to look for jobs on his own. We actually started a law firm together. Of course, I’m no help at all since it's Boyle and some other friends that are managing the work at the law firm." It seemed he was actually really busy and was not free to look for her. It was not because he did not want to see her. Cherie felt a lot better with that thought in mind. Hector left her with a peculiar hint, "Oh, that's right. I remember now. Boyle wants me to tell you that he'll treat you to a meal whenever you're free." Cherie felt extremely happy in her heart. "I know. Thank you, Hector." Just as Cherie was about to return to her classroom, she seemed to recall something else and called out to him, "Hey, Hector, let me add you on Facebook so that way, if there's anything in the future, I can ask you for help." Hector teased, "If you actually end up dating Boyle in the future, remember to treat me to a meal." "Of course, of course." … Recently, Boyle was busy dealing with a rape investigation. The plaintiff was from a weak and insignificant family, while the defendant was a pretty powerful person in the capital. By the time the girl and her parents came to their law firm, they were already out of options. Both Boyle and Huntley had pulled three all-nighters working on this case. They collected evidence, prepared the case, and tried to understand the plaintiff's family background and any leverage that could be used against them. Boyle and Huntley were already fast asleep on their desk by the time Hector brought them their lunch at the law firm. Hector tapped the bowl with his chopsticks and said, "Hurry up and wake up, wake up! Take a break after you guys have eaten!" Huntley woke up and yawned several times as he said, "I can't. I’m going to take a shower now." Hector opened the thermos flask as he asked, "How's the case going? I heard the trial will begin in two days?" Huntley said, "The defendant’s family background is quite powerful. It might be troublesome for us to accept this case." Hector said, "If that's the case, I think you should have your father hire two bodyguards to stand guard by the door at our law firm just to be safe!" Huntley raised his brows and said, "That's certainly a plan. However, Boyle and I are pretty confident in winning this case. As long as we make it big, our little law firm will soon become famous." "Are you saying that our little law firm will be well-known someday?" Boyle stared intensely at Hector as he calmly said, "That might also be when we completely vanish from the law world." The corner of Hector's mouth twitched. Huntly teased, "Oh Boyle, why do you keep scaring Hector? Hector is our finance department’s manager. If you scare our finance manager away, who's going to pay our paychecks afterward?" Hector chuckled and said, "Forget it then! The only thing we're good at is boasting about things, If you two don't make any money out there, I, the finance manager, will be starving as well." Huntley jokingly said, "Alright, as long as the three of us are united, we can do anything. Boyle and I will be doing fieldwork out there, while you manage our internal affairs. Man, both Boyle and I are about to puke from eating takeout meals for days on end. You should bring us some home-cooked food over the next few days!" "No problem." … Cherie, who had not contacted Boyle for a few days, felt lost. She had no mood in her classes as she merely attended them in a daze. She received a text from Hector just as she was about to head to the cafeteria for food with Mandy for food after her classes were over. [Are you free today? Are you willing to do something awesome and fun?] The instant Cherie read the text, she felt like it was related to Boyle. … Hector was going on a movie date with a junior, so he tasked Cherie to deliver food to the law firm. Since Cherie was unfamiliar with the capital, she decided to take a cab directly to the address she received from Hector while clutching onto the thermos flask. When she approached the entrance, she noticed two very unwelcoming bodyguards standing by the door. She actually thought she had arrived at the wrong place. However, when she looked up to read the law firm's name, she was right. The sign wrote, 'Earnest Law Firm.' Two bodyguards were standing in her way, stopping her from entering. Huntley had been working for a really long time and when he relaxed his eyes and walked over to the door, he noticed a person’s slender-looking silhouette. The woman was holding onto a thermos flask. "No way? Could this little flower be the arrangement Hector promised?" Boyle raised his brows slightly and asked as he looked up, "What are you mumbling on about?" Huntley pointed outside and said, "Do you know the woman outside?" Boyle's gaze dimmed when he glanced over.
