Chapter 782 Boyle Lawson, The Poor Genius In Capital City University.
After Cherie was done with her shower, she laid in bed, picked up her tablet and started scrolling through Twitter.
Whitney shared a Capital City University forum with her. However, before she could open the link, she received a call from Whitney.
She picked up the call.
"Cherie, have you looked at the link I've sent? I truly did not expect that someone that handsome will be studying in Capital City University."
Cherie brushed her off since all of the adults she had seen since she was little were all extremely attractive so she had pretty much seen it all.
"Is he as handsome as my dad?"
Whitney chuckled, "I know Uncle Heaton is extremely attractive but that person from Capital City University is on a whole different level. The most important thing is, he's smart and he is extremely attractive too. You know, he's basically the poor genius of Capital City University."
Cherie opened the link and the moment she looked at the picture, the man… looked familiar to her.
She remembered him now. He was that servant tonight and his name was Boyle Lawson. As expected, when she scrolled a little further, she saw the same name.
"Whoa, I didn't expect him to be studying in Capital City University."
Whitney replied, "Huh? You met him before? He's a second year student though. Not to mention, he's a lot older than us. However, I heard that he's studying in the same block as us. Maybe we might even get some eye candy at school."
Cherie scoffed when she recalled about what happened earlier tonight. She exclaimed, "What's so good about him anyway? Just wait for a few more years for my brother to grow a little older. He will look as good as him, alright."
Whitney burst out laughing as she said, "Right, that's right. Oh, Harrison is the husband of my dreams so you'll have to keep a close eye on your brother now, okay! Make sure he isn't seduced by the other wenches out there!"
Cherie was speechless at how unreasonable she was.
If Whitney was to actually date her brother, their friendship would be extremely chaotic!
"Oh that's right, we have our own knight in shining armor, Tyler. Tyler is pretty attractive too but he is a loose cannon. Say, when are you going to date him?"
Cherie blushed and said, "Why do you guys keep thinking that Tyler and I are a couple? Do you know that the more you guys match make out of context, the more you guys are going to encourage Cupid to pair you up with random people!"
After messing around with Whitney, Cherie buried herself underneath the covers as she stared at the pictures uploaded on the forum while clutching onto her tablet. She somehow lost herself while staring at those pictures.
That picture was obviously taken in school and it was a random shot taken by other students. However, random shots like these looked the most appealing.
With a much closer look, Cherie found Boyle quite attractive to look at.
Hmph, so what if he was attractive? Cherie had seen plenty of attractive men growing up anyway.
Attractive men like her father, Uncle Wilson, Uncle Carter, Uncle Blaine… and her brother. They were all exceptionally attractive looking men.
She could not care less about attractive men.
…
It did not take long for her summer break to be over. Fortunately for them, the orientation for new students in Capital City University was not held in their first year.
Both Heaton and Verian sent Cherie off on her first day of school in the capital.
Although Heaton would usually spoil Cherie, he would not spoil her unreasonably. Since he found the environment of the dorms in school not bad, he did not rent an apartment unit near the campus for her.
Both him and Verian would worry if she was to live in an apartment unit alone out there since staying in school was a lot safer for her.
Not to mention, it would not be a bad thing for her since she would also be able to mingle amongst the students here if she lived in the dorms.
After Cherie's parents dropped her off at her dorms, they happened to have caught the attention of other parents and female students.
A female student ran over to her and made the first move in greeting her, "Hey, nice to meet you. Are you Cherie Fudd from bed number two?"
Cherie replied with a smile, "Yeah, we'll be roommates from now."
Her roommate whispered into her ear, "Are they your parents? They're so handsome and beautiful!"
Bed number two was the top bunk.
Verian could not help but ask her daughter, "Are you sure you'll be okay sleeping on the top bunk? You tend to move around in your sleep. Are you sure you're not going to fall over?"
Cherie grabbed onto Verian's arm and spoke in a childish tone, "Mom, I'm not three and besides, there's a railing beside it so I won't be falling over, okay."
It did not take them long to unpack and get settled in.
Cherie then followed her parents out the dorms to familiarise herself with the environment.
Verian reminded Cherie when they were walking by the field, "Jelly Bean, you've just come over to the capital from North City. It's a very different city so if you find yourself in any trouble at all, remember to call us, okay?"
Cherie nodded impatiently as she said, "Mom, dad, could you guys not worry so much about me? Besides, have I ever made you guys worry when I was a child?"
"Fair point. You've always been obedient."
Heaton said, "If you need any help at all, you can call Uncle Gale or Aunty Helen and I'll talk to them too."
"Yeah, but I don't think I'll be contacting the Gales that much since Aunty Helen is just too warm and kind. She will basically treat me like her future daughter-in-law. I will feel very uncomfortable with her."
Verian could not help but laugh as she said, "Oh, you silly child. Aunty Helen is only treating you well because she adores you."
Heaton seemed to have thought about something as he jokingly said, "Fair point. Don't bother them too much or else, if they actually have such a thought in mind, they will throw a fit at me in the future if you refuse to marry Tyler."
Cherie burst out laughing at that remark.
…
After they had lunch and since Heaton still had work to do at noon, they could not stay in the capital for too long.
Both Heaton and Verian left the capital at two.
Whitney arrived at the campus at noon. Cherie gave Whitney a call and met up with her at the fields.
Whitney ran over while carrying a backpack. She was breathing heavily as she said, "Good lord, I've just sent my parents away earlier and man, those two are persistent, alright. They keep nagging at me in my ears and wouldn't leave me alone no matter how hard I try."
"Now that our parents are gone, we'll be free birds in the future."
Whitney fistbumped Cherie as she said, "Oh, now that we're free, I'll treat you to a cup of milk tea!"
Just as the both of them were walking away from the fields together, they noticed an argument breaking out at a nearby grove.
Whiney's eyes lit up and said, "That looks like Boyle. Oh my god, he's even more attractive in real life than from the pictures! Let's hurry over to take a look, Cherie!"
As Whitney was dragging Cherie over, they soon realized a group of boys was blocking their path to the grove.
One of the instigators was dressed in a basketball jersey while holding onto a basketball in his hand. He reached out to push Boyle.
"Say Boyle, don't you look where you're going? You've just stepped on my newly bought limited edition AJ sneakers!"
Although a group of people were bullying one person, Boyle did not seem to back down. Instead, he inched closer to the man with a cold and sharp menacing aura.
Boyle seemed as if he was staring at nothing while holding a few books in his hand.
That instigator was beyond furious as he exclaimed, "Boyle Lawson, I said that you've stepped on my limited edition AJ sneakers!"
Boyle replied coldly, "So what?"
The man scoffed mockingly and said, "So what? I want you to repay me for the damages! Can you even afford to pay?"
The few other men who were with the instigator all cackled out loud as they watched Boyle being mocked at.
