Chapter 778 Conclusion of The Glaceau Couple

While Ruby drank some milk, she did not realize that her mouth had been stained by the foam from the glass of foamy milk. Blaine's gaze dimmed slightly while staring at her as he reached over to wipe the foam away from her mouth. His movements were extremely natural. "Was it the Drake family?" Ruby nodded before lowering her head and stirring the bowl of chicken soup while speaking in a cheerful tone, "Did you know that the young master of the Drake family has a crush on me and he wanted me to stay by his side?" Blaine's handsome face grew colder. "Does he not know that you're my woman?" Ruby teased intentionally, "Oh, he does but that young master just loves me way too much that he's willing to do anything to get me." Blaine's eyes dimmed. 'The young master of the Drake family was it? I won't ever allow the Drake family to have another peaceful day in the future.' He clearly had a death wish to snatch Blaine's woman away. Ruby raised her head, put her fork down and rested her chin on her palms as she stared intensely at Blaine with her beady eyes. She said, "Well, Blaine, now you know that I can totally live without you and I have plenty of admirers. Hence, if you don't appreciate me, there are more people pursuing after me." Blaine was not offended when he heard that statement as he stared at her with a teasing gaze. He said, "Since you can totally live without me, why would you even risk your life to escape from the young master of the Drake family?" "I don't like being held captive." "Marry me, Softie." That came out way too suddenly and there were no signs of him proposing to her before this. Blaine's calm demeanor was as if he was telling her, "Hey Softie, let's go out for a stroll." "Oh Blaine, this is such an interesting way for you to propose." Ruby smiled as she picked up her spoon and stirred the soup in her bowl. She seemed displeased. Blaine took a glance at the small strawberry cake beside her and said, "I baked this cake myself. Why don't you give it a try?" Ruby scooped a spoonful of cake before noticing a diamond ring buried in the cake. Ruby was speechless. The woman frowned as she looked at the filthy diamond ring as she asked, "Who taught you to propose this way, Blaine?" Blaine realized something was amiss as he raised his brows slightly and asked, "What's the matter? Is that not okay?' "Of course it's not! What year are we even in right now? How could you still hide a ring in a cake? Oh, good lord, words cannot describe how horribly bad your methods are." Blaine was speechless. Just what kind of a dumb idea did Old K even suggested him with! Blaine felt the need to deploy Old K to the desert after this! … Blaine and Ruby got married on Serban Islands after a month had gone by. The Serban Islands belonged to Blaine. They invited a few friends over to attend their wedding. It was quite a low profile wedding. … Blaine resigned as the director of the Dark Organization after half a year and enjoyed some quality time with Ruby. They travelled to every corner of the world and many memories were made. After seeing the world, they returned to their own private island in order to start family planning. … Another half a year had gone by. It was just a random night. Blaine's phone was ringing constantly. It had to be a phone call asking him to return as the director of the Dark Organization. Blaine took a look at the sleeping woman. After they were married for a year, all the turmoil and bloodshed that was happening out there no longer concerned them. Ruby's habit of staying on guard was slowly changing and now, she was soundly asleep in his arms. A good night's sleep was truly a luxury for people like them. Blaine gently reached out for his phone. He walked toward the balcony outside of his room and stared at the vast blue ocean before picking up the call. "Hello. What is it?" Old K sounded incredibly frantic through the call, "Master Blaine, after you and the madam stepped away from the organization, there's a huge internal shift in the management. The president wants me to contact you and he wants you to return to your position." Blaine raised his brows. While grabbing onto the railing of the balcony, he stared at the beautiful scenery ahead as he held onto his phone. He smiled and said, "But I've married a wife whom all of R Country hated." "The president has already given the order half a year ago. He said it doesn't matter who you ended up marrying. He won't oppose your marriage as long as you return to your position!" Blaine was displeased as he casually replied, "I happen to be having quite the time of my life after all of my obligations were stripped away from me. I love feeling like this." Old K was helplessly speechless. … Ruby turned over and did not feel Blaine next to her in the room so she opened her eyes and got up. She looked at the beautiful blue sky and the ocean outside through the white curtains that were fluttering with the breeze. It was the beginning of another day. She got out of bed. She then entered the washroom to freshen up. However, not long after that, a loud scream could be heard coming from the washroom. "Blaine!" The man that was standing at the balcony assumed something had happened so he rushed in. "What happened?" When he opened the door, all he could see was Ruby sitting on the toilet bowl with her extremely messy long hair, looking like a mad person. She was holding a pregnancy test strip in her hand. Ruby had a bitter look as she handed the pregnancy strip toward Blaine as she said, “Just look at what you've done to me!" Blaine took the pregnancy strip and took a glance at it. However, as a man, he would obviously not understand these things since he had never used something like that before. "What is the meaning of this?" Two red lines could be seen on the strip. One was bright and another was dimmer. Blaine was more concerned of her body's condition than the pregnancy strip. While holding onto the pregnancy strip, Blaine knelt down and asked the woman who was sitting on the toilet bowl with a bitter look, "What's the matter? Not feeling well?" Blaine reached out and tucked her messy hair behind her ear. Ruby was staring at him with a resentful yet helpless gaze as she pushed his hand away and said, "Don't touch me for now." Blaine was speechless. Blaine assumed she was only on her period since after being married to her for a year, he knew that she would always be in a bad mood every time she was on her period. "On your period? Are you having a stomach bug?" Blaine's phone that was placed on the counter was still connected to the phone call he had with Old K. Old K was incredibly shocked when he heard how gentle Blaine sounded. He thought to himself, 'How could Master Blaine be this shameless now? He's truly become a slave to his own wife.' Ruby decided to get out of the washroom while Blaine followed behind with the pregnancy strip. "What exactly is going on, Softie?" Ruby turned around while scratching her head in frustration as she said, "I haven't had my period." Blaine asked her in a patient tone, "Should we go to the doctor then?" Blaine's head hurt a little from how Ruby was staring at him. Ruby took a deep breath before explaining to him in a clear tone, "I'm pregnant, Blaine." Blaine was speechless. Blaine was stunned for five whole seconds as he was standing there, staring at her. Ruby assumed he did not want the child anymore when she noticed his reaction since this child came very unexpectedly. She bit her lips, took a deep breath and said, "Blaine, I've thought about it. Can we not keep this child for now since we've only gotten married recently and we haven't enjoyed our time as a couple long enough yet. If…" Before she could finish, Blaine frowned and said, "Why don't you want to keep it since you've given me a child? This child stays!" The man's tone sounded unreasonable and barbaric. Ruby was speechless. However, Ruby did not want to be a pregnant lady. Ruby immediately collapsed onto the bed before reaching out for a pillow and covering her face with it. Blaine was startled and immediately rushed over to her while exclaiming, "Softie, you're pregnant now. You shouldn't be doing anything risky." Ruby was speechless. Blaine pulled the pillow away to stare at her beautiful little face. Ruby furrowed her beautiful brows while pouting her red lips. She stared at him with a sad look and said, "Blaine, I don't want to give birth…" Blaine carried her onto his lap and spoke to her in a loving tone, "Women should give birth, you know. Look at you, you're not young anymore. If you give birth sooner, you'll recover sooner too, okay." The instant he said that, Ruby glared at him and said, "Are you saying that I'm old now?" Blaine reached out to pat her head before pressing his forehead against hers. He stared intensely at her and whispered, "Of course not. Oh, Softie, I really want to have children with you. It doesn't matter if it turns out to be a boy or a girl. I will still love them wholeheartedly and give them my fatherly love." He wanted to give his children the childhood that he had missed out on. Although Ruby still did not want children, this surprise invoked her maternal instincts. She could not believe that a person would be related to her by blood and that bond was bridged between her and Blaine. She could not bring herself to abort the child. Ruby hugged Blaine's neck and said, "Will you still love me if my body isn't the same anymore after I gave birth?" Blaine realized that the person who actually lacked a sense of security was not him, but it was Ruby all along since they got married. The stronger the woman was, the softer her heart would be. Perhaps it was due to her childhood experiences and she grew up in an extreme environment with no sense of security. Therefore, she had always been severely insecure since she was little. It was to the point that she would require Blaine to slowly build her confidence up. Blaine stared at his wife with a gentle gaze while cracking a smile at her. He said, "Am I really not a man that has seen everything in your eyes?" "You are. You're a man that has seen the galaxy." Blaine held onto her little face and nuzzled his nose against hers. Blaine said, "You are a person that hasn't seen the world yet but I have and yet, I will still choose to love you regardless." Ruby was beaming while staring at him. A sound could be heard coming from the washroom when the room fell silent. "Master Blaine, Master Blaine, are you still there?" Ruby was stunned while hugging Blaine's neck. She asked while staring at him, "Why do I hear Old K's voice?" Blaine replied while hugging her, "I forgot to hang up the call." He picked up his phone when he walked into the washroom. "When are you coming back, Master Blaine?" While clutching onto his phone, Blaine walked out of the washroom and glanced at his wife who was standing nearby. He told Old K, "I'm going to be a father now and I won't be free to return to the Dark Organization. You guys can deal with the problem yourselves." He immediately hung up the call. Ruby opened the windows and drew the curtains open, allowing the sun and sea breeze to enter. "How could the people in R Country be in such a depressing state? Do they not have any other candidates for the director of the Dark Organization?" Blaine walked over with a smile before hugging her from behind. He lowered his head to kiss her cheeks while caressing her flat belly with his huge hand. "You have my child now, Softie." The tone of his voice sounded glad. Ruby stared at him and teased, "Is getting a child really something to be that happy about?" "Our child." Blaine lowered his head and buried himself into her nape. He took a deep breath and spoke in a deep voice, "I love you, Softie." Ruby turned around and hugged his neck, stood on her toes and kissed his lips. She said, "I love you too." 'As hot and as bright as the galaxy boils, you are the best person in the world.'
