Jonathan still didn't understand why I wanted a divorce after all this time.
I suddenly let out a bitter laugh.
I was chillingly calm as I replied, "I don't have any feelings for you anymore. Every day with you feels worse than death."
I spoke the cruelest words in the calmest tone possible.
Sure enough, the intense cloudiness in Jonathan's eyes seemed to lift, as if my sharp words had sliced right through it.
He paused for a long time, then gave a half-laugh, as if mocking himself. "Fine. If you want a divorce, let's go by the agreement."
Our prenuptial agreement stated that if I wanted to initiate the divorce, I had to pay him 100 million dollars in compensation.
I gritted my teeth and decided to go all in. "Do you think I can't make 100 million dollars? I'll earn it and show you!"
Jonathan looked at me coolly. "I'll wait and see."
"When I earn that money, will you divorce me willingly?" I asked.
Jonathan stared at me steadily. "We'll talk about it once you earn that much
