I could feel Jonathan's intentions taking a turn, and I shouted instantly, "Stop! What are you doing?"
Jonathan looked at me, his expression dark and unreadable. "Elise, something's wrong with you."
He brushed my hair aside, exposing my entire face. His voice was hoarse, rough. "What happened to you? What are you hiding from me?"
