Give up the will
"Madam." Doctor Lina put down the thick book in her hand and took off her anti blue light glasses to look at me. "Do you know that you'll get sick if you don't recover from the bone injury?"
"I know!" I said with a bitter face. "But I'll be depressed if I stay here every day."
I lived on the 57th floor, so my vision was super wide.
The scene in most of Costsley could be seen at a glance.
However, since I had seen so many of them, there was no point in them.
At the moment, I just wanted to go out, breathe in the car exhaust that had not been purified by the new wind system, and then sign up for the tutoring class.
Seeing that I was so listless, Lina finally agreed. "Come back quickly. Don't delay taking your medicine at night."
"Okay!"
I took a small bag, took my personal information, checked the map on my mobile phone, and got on the bus.
The phone was really a good thing. Without it, I wouldn't be able to find the location of the tutor class accurately.
Everything went more smoothly than I had expected.
To sign up for the tutoring class, I only needed a mobile phone number, an ID card, and 30,000 dollars for tuition fees.
After I paid the tuition fees, I felt a pang of pain in my heart as I looked at my empty bag.
I didn't go to high school, so I had to go to the tutoring class.
Money, I needed money.
Back downstairs the Sky City, I was lost in thought as I looked at the huge mall.
I still remembered last time, when Carroll took me to catch a doll, every store was pasted with the word "recruit". This mall was bigger than the one I went to last time.
There should be a lot of jobs.
I took a deep breath and twisted my shoulders. After making sure that it didn't delay my normal actions, I strode into the mall.
Wow, it was so cool.
I looked at the huge sculpture and the star-like light. I was lost in thought, so my pace slowed down.
"Kelly?" A girl in front of me waved at me in her high heels. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was Odette.
Oh, she was followed by Madonna.
I hesitated for a moment and tried to pretend that I didn't see her, but it was too late.
Odette held Madonna's arm and walked over with a sweet smile. "Kelly, are you here to go shopping as well? I'll take you to buy whatever you like."
Heh, she was rich and generous.
I pursed my lips and replied, "I'm just walking around."
"Just walk around?" Madonna looked me up and down. "Kelly, aren't you in the Garcia clan? Why are you here?"
"That's right, Kelly. Didn't you get taken away by Peter? Did he..." Odette covered her mouth while speaking, her eyes fixed on my chest.
I was still wearing a loose T-shirt, and I was no different from the last time she saw me.
I understood what she meant. She thought I had slept with Peter.
"Enough, Odette. Don't stand on ceremony here. The Smith family is in trouble." Madonna took a glance at the shopping mall, where there weren't many people. She grabbed my hand and pulled me to a corner.
"Kelly, since I have something to say, I'll get straight to the point. Everyone thinks you've been taken away by Peter, and Old Madame Brown goes to Mr. Garcia's place and asks to see you every few days.
If you're free, then you should obediently go back to the Brown family.
"If you're not in the Garcia clan or the Brown family, and they can't find you and question the Smith family, what should you do?
You can't leave the fate of the entire Smith family behind for the sake of a brief moment of joy.
Tell me, are you going to the Garcia clan or the Brown family?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she took out her mobile phone impatiently. "I'll ask the driver to send you."
"I'm not going anywhere." I smiled faintly and understood what she meant.
I was no longer a virgin. If the Garcia clan wanted me, I should stay in the clan.
Though I didn't have a title.
When the Garcia clan got tired of me and didn't want me anymore, I should just obediently go back to the Brown family. Carroll was a dead person. No one would care if I was a virgin.
"Kelly, you have to listen to Auntie." Madonna's expression sank as she patiently tried to persuade me.
Odette added, "Be obedient. The Smith family is a big family. You share the honor and disgrace with them. You can't do anything shameless outside."
"What shameless thing did I do?" I was really helpless, wasn't I?
"I've been out of the Garcia clan for nine days. Is there anyone looking for your Smith family?"
Madonna pursed her lips unhappily, but she remained her usual dignity. "When they come to find you, everything is too late. We spent 200,000 dollars to bring you back from the countryside. I didn't ask you to put on airs for me."
"Are you exposed? No more pretenses?" I tried my best to hold back my laughter. "With your attitude, I won't sign the agreement that I'll give up the will."
"You, how did you know?" Odette's face turned pale with fright. She looked at Madonna for help. "Mom, what should we do?"
Madonna glanced at me and patted Odette's hand.
Just as she was about to speak, the elevator door behind her opened and Opal walked out. "What do you mean? Did you make an appointment?"
He looked at me, and his nose twitched slightly. Then he frowned and asked, "Have you gone to the hospital?"
After all, Opal was the best doctor in Costsley and had a sharp nose. Recently, I had eaten a lot of western medicine, and there was always a faint smell of medicine on me. Especially today, I had made two bus trips on the bus, and I was sweating a lot.
The smell of medicine was stronger.
"My bone was broken. It's almost healed. They're thinking about where to send me. Should I go back to their new backer, the Garcia clan, or return to the old one, the Brown family?"
I shrugged indifferently.
"That's not what I'm talking about." The cold look on Madonna's face was gone, and it was replaced by a kind smile full of maternal love. "I'm doing this for the sake of the Smith family. She ran out on her own. What if the two families ask me for her?"
"No." I imitated her and curled my lips. "I don't want to waste time with you. I have nothing to do with what happened to the Smith family. I'm not very familiar with you. Am I right?"
"Kelly! Watch your words." Opal stopped me, and said to Madonna and Odette, "You can go back now. I'll send Kelly."
"Second brother, didn't we agree to have dinner together?" Odette came over and tugged at Opal's sleeve. "We've ordered your favorite Japanese food."
"Kelly's bone is broken. I'll send her back first. Let's meet another day."
"Second brother." Odette wanted to say something more, but was stopped by Madonna.
A smile remained on her face as she said, "Go ahead. Send Kelly back safely."
Phew!
I let out a long breath and turned to leave.
However, Opal continued to follow me. "Were you taken away by Peter?"
"Second Brother, aren't you talking nonsense? In the circle of you big shots in Costsley, everyone knows that I was taken away by Peter..."
I sped up my pace and wanted to get rid of Opal.
But my legs were short. No matter how fast I walked, I couldn't get rid of him because he had long legs.
"Kelly, what happened between you and Peter? Are you going to the Garcia clan or the Brown family?"
I was really impatient to be questioned, so I could only stop. "Second Brother, you haven't thought about looking for me for so many days. Why do you care about me now?
Why do all the members of our Smith family have good acting skills? They like to put on such a loving act."
"Kelly." Opal let out a low growl and then raised his hand.
