OLIVIA’S POV
As the atmosphere grew more tense with Evelyn’s presence, James cleared his throat beside me, reminding Dominic that we still had to complete the re-entry paperwork. Officially, I was back in the territory—and that meant registering everything: my housing, my status, and the children.
Dominic, to my shock, nodded and gestured toward his office.
“This way,” he said coolly.
As we stepped inside, I turned to Evelyn, voice sharp. “I’d prefer to have this conversation in private.”
She blinked. A flash of something crossed her face—offence? Confusion? Rage? I couldn’t tell. But before she could say anything, Dominic spoke.
“Evelyn, wait outside.”
No hesitation. No questions. He didn’t even look at her. And that… that surprised me.
She didn’t argue, but her heels clicked extra hard against the marble floor as she turned and walked out, her aura souring the air behind her.
