I could barely see her through the smoke and the swirling embers in the air.
But I felt her.
Her presence hit me like a tidal wave—raw, ancient, and terrifyingly divine.
And yet... beneath all that power was Olivia. The woman I failed. The mother of my children. The only one I’ve ever truly loved.
She stood in the heart of the destruction, like a goddess caught between ruin and mercy.
Her body trembled. Glowing veins lit her skin in violent pulses, molten red and glowing blue fire intertwining like two forces locked in a dance. Her hair snapped like fiery whips in the air, untamed and alive. Everything she touched sizzled into dust.
And yet… she was holding back.
Even now.
Even like this.
She hadn’t turned on us. She hadn’t burned us alive.
She was fighting it.
“Olivia!” I called out, stepping forward, ignoring Derek’s sharp pull at my arm. “Olivia, look at me!”
She turned slowly—eyes wide and glassy, as if she didn’t know whether to run or collapse. Her lips parted
