OLIVIA’S POV
The first thing I noticed was the cold.
Not the kind that creeps under your skin from winter air, but the kind that coils around you, damp and stale, like a dungeon with no warmth, no light, and no mercy.
I stirred, my limbs heavy and sluggish, as if someone had poured lead into my veins. My wrists ached—restrained. Shackles. Not silver, thankfully, but tight enough to limit movement. I blinked into the dim light filtering through narrow windows high up in the stone walls.
Definitely not the Blackwood Pack.
The scent was different—foreign. Masculine and earthy, but mixed with something sharp and unnatural. Chemical.
