Chapter 391

"Drive slowly," Marshall said gently. "No need to hurry. Safety comes first." "I'm sorry," Stella took a deep breath and reduced the car's speed. "I should be the one apologizing," Marshall said. "I should've waited in the room." Stella shook her head. "If people want to cause trouble for you, they'll always find a way, no matter how careful you are." Stella could see how Sophia looked at Keegan. How could she not know? It all started when she found the things Rainee had left for her tonight, and Sophia had purposely tried to provoke her. That was when her anger boiled over, and she took action in front of Marshall. 'Surely, Keegan knew he couldn't handle much alcohol, yet he still drank to excess without taking any precautions. If I had been just a little late, Sophia would've taken advantage of him!' Stella thought. Marshall suddenly chuckled and said, "I was worried you'd misunderstand Keegan earlier. I didn't expect you to have so much faith in him. I wasted my concern!" Most women wouldn't have put up with what happened. As Stella entered, her expression had shifted. Marshall had expected her to leave Keegan behind, but he never imagined she would give Sophia a piece of her mind and then take Keegan home. Stella wasn't sure how to continue the conversation. It wasn't that she had confidence in Keegan. It was more about Keegan being unable to do anything when he was drunk. Alcohol seemed to affect him strongly. He would get drunk, lose consciousness, and have a fuzzy memory. Last year, they had dinner with the entire Kane family. They were newlyweds, and Stella had just become part of the Kane family. Cordelia was overjoyed, so she prepared a lavish dinner and even brought out her prized vintage wine for the occasion. Keegan only had two drinks, and Stella didn't want to overdo it. Although she could handle her alcohol well, she was quite reserved. By the time the dinner ended, it was very late, and everyone decided to spend the night at Cordelia's house. When they got to the bedroom that had been prepared for them, Keegan was still sober. Stella took a shower, and when she came out, Keegan was sitting on the edge of the bed lost in thought. Stella called him to take a shower, and Keegan briefly looked at her in a daze. Suddenly, he stood up, embraced her, and tossed her onto the bed. As a newlywed bride, Stella was a bit shy when it came to intimate matters, especially in the family's ancestral home. This made her even more nervous. She whispered to Keegan, "Let's wait until we get home. What if someone hears us..." Keegan, on the other hand, paid no attention and began removing her clothes. Stella could only bury her face in his chest, her breath quickening as she tried to synchronize with him. After the foreplay, she waited for Keegan to take the next step, but he hesitated for a while. Stella, now eager from all the teasing, wrapped her legs around his waist and softly encouraged him. Finally, Keegan positioned himself over her, but he seemed lost and didn't make a move for a while. "What's wrong?" She asked in a low tone. Keegan lowered his head to have a look. Meanwhile, Stella followed his gaze and looked downwards. Then, she saw Keegan Jr. drooping. Stella was left speechless. Keegan appeared quite embarrassed and quickly got up, heading to the bathroom. Stella lay on the bed with only one thought in her mind: 'My husband has performance issues!' However, that wasn't accurate. She soon tried a few more times and realized that whenever Keegan had consumed alcohol, his abilities in that department were seriously impaired. It was a case of his spirit being willing, but his body being weak. Even just two drinks left him in this state. It was pointless to expect any different when he was intoxicated and unconscious.
