Chapter 44 Proving Michelle's Crime
When Catherine returned home, she saw Jeremy standing at the door. She was surprised. "Why are you here?"
"I have something to tell you," Jeremy answered. His voice was slightly hoarse.
"Let's talk inside." Catherine opened the door and poured him a glass of water.
Jeremy thanked her and stared at her retreating figure with a trace of longing. But when she turned around, his expression returned to calm, as if they were just friends.
He then took a sip of water and asked softly, "Cathy, are you tracking those kidnappers?"
Catherine blinked in surprise. "How did you know?"
"I only found out you were kidnapped after I learned about your hospitalization," Jeremy said. A shiver ran through him.
Luckily, she was unharmed.
Catherine pressed her palm to her cheek and sighed. "It's a shame they vanished without a trace. I can't find any evidence of Michelle hiring someone to kill me."
