Cleo had probably tired herself out from all the crying. She lay slumped in Harry's arms, fast asleep, with tears staining her reddened face.
Harry wiped her face and carried her into the children's room. Worried that she'd feel unsafe, he even put in the effort to place a big stuffed toy beside her before going downstairs to let Catherine in.
At this point, Catherine was on the verge of breaking down. "I heard Cleo's cries. What did you do to her?"
