Chapter 1624
Julie took a deep breath and strode into Madam Stockton’s room.
There was only one lamp on in the room, and the windows were shut tight. No one outside could see what was happening inside.
Caprice should have left with Queenie, so only Madam Stockton was alone in the room. She had the oxygen mask over her face and she looked paler, seemingly weaker than before.
Julie went closer to her and looked at her.
“Mother, don’t blame me. I am doing this for your own good.” She bent over and continued with a vicious grin, “Rather than hanging on a thread, why don’t I send you to the afterlife? Am I right?”
As soon as her words subsided, she put on a pair of rubber gloves and stripped the oxygen mask off Madam Stockton’s face. Her hands were slightly shaking while she held the oxygen mask in the air. Her eyes stared at Madam Stockton.
After a while, nothing changed. Madam Stockton looked as pale and weak as before, but there were no signs that she had passed.
