Chapter 1459
Solomon still held her, his hands wrapped around her waist. "Just the two of us don't make so much food. We won't finish it."
Ines replied, "The fish and shrimp won't be fresh tomorrow, so let's cook them. The salad isn't too much. We should be able to finish them."
Solomon pinched her chin and leaned in to kiss her lips. "Do you know I'm going on a business trip, so you made so much delicious food for me?"
Ines raised an eyebrow. Was he going on a trip?
"No, I just felt like cooking."
Solomon chuckled. "Then let's cook together to finish faster."
By cooking and finishing dinner faster, they would have time to do other things.
Before meeting Ines, Solomon had never set foot in a kitchen.
Since they got together, he had learned a lot. Although his cooking skills were mediocre, he washed and cut vegetables well.
Solomon's phone rang while preparing the last dish as they busied themselves in the kitchen. He went to the balcony to answer it.
Kyle called, reminding him of things to watch out for in Monafett, where he was headed. Then, he mentioned Jeremiah's arrest and the leak of information.
Sitting on the balcony couch, Solomon smoked and said, "This is no small matter. Are you suspecting we have a mole around us?"
"I'm investigating. Just be careful when you go to Monafett."
"Don't worry, I understand."
After a few more words, Solomon hung up the phone.
He extinguished the cigarette, returned to the living room, and casually glanced at the pink suitcase in the bedroom hallway.
Raising an eyebrow, he walked over to look and went to the main bedroom.
Ines had been living in the main bedroom since she moved in. Whenever he was not busy, he would come over to see her, and they were almost living together.
There were many of Ines' belongings in the bedroom, but at the moment, standing in the doorway, Solomon saw nothing.
Her makeup was gone from the dressing table.
Opening the closet, he noticed that her clothes were missing too.
Not all of them were gone; the clothes he had bought for her were still there, but the ones she had brought were gone.
On the bedside table were a few books, and in the drawer were several jewelry boxes, all containing the necklaces and earrings he had given her.
There were also several unopened boxes of condoms in the drawer.
Solomon sat on the bed, listening to the cooking sound from the kitchen, his eyes chilling slightly.
He got up and returned to the dining room.
"Alright, let's eat." Ines emerged from the kitchen with the final dish.
The bowls and chopsticks were already set out.
Ines took off her apron, thought for a moment, and then went to the liquor cabinet to fetch a bottle of red wine. "Care for some?" she asked.
Solomon sat down in a chair and lifted his chin but remained silent.
Ines poured the red wine and filled two glasses.
They sat facing each other.
Ines picked up a spoon to serve him soup without saying a word.
Solomon leaned back in his chair, his peach blossom eyes coldly scanning Ines as he slowly swirled his wine glass.
Ines raised her wine glass, wanting to clink it with his.
However, Solomon did not raise his glass. Instead, he looked at the sumptuous meal on the table with a smirk. "Ines, what's this, a farewell dinner?"
Ines' heart tightened. She looked at Solomon, but the words she had prepared seemed stuck, and she could not say a single word.
Swirling his wine glass, Solomon spoke lightly, "Planning to move out?"
Ines put down her wine glass and nodded. "Yeah."
