Chapter 1232
After seeing Kyle and Zoe off at the airport, Mable and Blair left the terminal.
"I might have to work overtime tonight and be back a bit late," Blair said to Mable as they drove home.
"It's alright, you focus on your work. I'll take care of the kids," Mable replied.
Blair held Mable's hand and kissed the back of it. "Once these busy days have passed, things will get easier, and we can spend quality time with the children."
Mable looked at Blair and smiled. "Can we plan a short stay at Mair Manor? The servant there told me the fruit trees are doing well this year. In a while, we can take the kids fruit picking."
"Sounds great," Blair eagerly agreed.
Mable proactively suggested staying in Mair Manor meant she was becoming more comfortable living there. It was a good sign.
After dropping Mable off at home, Blair headed to the office.
Mable changed into comfortable clothing in her bedroom and then turned on her computer. She had been researching Blair's will for the past few days and was close to finding it.
Mable quickly typed on the keyboard and managed to bypass the encryption on the law firm's document.
After some searching, Mable finally found a file with Blair's name on it. "This should be it."
Mable took a deep breath and opened the document. It was a will that Blair had made three years ago.
When Mable started reading the content of the will, she could not believe her eyes.
Why had Blair created such a will back then? Did he not plan to leave her when he had an affair and abandoned her?
Mable was still in disbelief.
Blair made a will three years ago, leaving all his assets to her. Why?
The document also contained a video file. Mable’s hand trembled as she moved the mouse and opened it. Blair's face appeared on the screen.
At that time, his hair was still black. He sat behind his office desk, wearing a black suit, exuding a cold aura.
Then, Mable heard Blair's low, hoarse voice in the video. "I have only three direct relatives: my wife, Mable, my son, Hubert, and my sister, Tracey. Tracey is already an adult, with shares in the company and some real estate under her name. Even if she doesn't work much in the future, these assets will support her well. I've prepared a dowry for her when she gets married.
"After my death, my wife, Mable, will inherit all my real estate, stocks, and funds. Perhaps she won't want them."
In the video, Blair sighed softly and picked up a photo frame from his desk. He gently caressed the person in the picture, his eyes filled with sadness and tenderness.
Recognizing the person in the photo frame, Mable suddenly felt her nose tingling as tears uncontrollably streamed down her face.
"If she doesn't want them, wait until our son, Hubert, turns eighteen, and he can inherit them. But she must accept Royal View Villa and Mair Manor, no matter what. These two places hold too many beautiful memories between us."
Mable covered her mouth, tears falling like pearls slipping from a broken thread.
‘Why, Blair? Why did you do this?’
Images started to flash in her mind, and Mable suddenly felt a piercing pain in her head as if it were about to explode.
