Chapter 1226
Blair let out a cold, humorless laugh; his gaze was icy.
Why was Connor so against him being with Mable? Was it because of his intense love for her daughter, or was there another reason?
Blair stared at the files on his computer and had a long, deep thought.
"Solomon, I'll send you a file shortly. Follow its instructions."
Solomon asked, "Are you sure you want to take action against the Mullers? What if Mable finds out?"
Blair clenched his jaw tightly, not saying a word. He would only deal with it when Mable found out.
He would find a way.
Seeing Blair's silence, Solomon nodded. "Understood; I know what to do. Send me the file. I have it covered here in Italee."
"Good."
After ending the video call, Blair sent the file to Solomon.
After finishing his work, Blair remembered today's incident when Mable suddenly had a headache in the car. He picked up his phone and called Eugenie.
"Hello," Eugenie's voice came through. "Mr. Fowler, what's up?"
Blair asked, "I have something I want to ask you."
Blair told Eugenie about Mable's damaged sensory nerves. He thought since Eugenie could neutralize Necro Poison, her medical skills might be good enough to treat Mable's sensory nerve damage.
After hearing Blair's explanation, Eugenie chuckled. "I thought it was something serious. It turns out it's this. Are you sure she has no sensation due to sensory nerve damage?"
Blair was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
Eugenie said, "From what you've told me, Mable's sensory nerves may have been blocked."
Blair's face turned serious. Who would do such a thing? Rory or Jeremiah?
Eugenie continued, "Stop speculating. I'll go see Mable tomorrow and check on her."
"Thank you. I appreciate it."
"Not a problem." Eugenie reminded, "We're partners, Mr. Fowler. As long as you don't forget what you promised me."
Blair replied earnestly, "As long as you can heal Mable, I will fulfill my promise."
…
At the hotel.
After ending the call with Blair, Eugenie opened her computer and recorded the information about Mable's condition that he had just told her.
She would visit Blair to see Mable and check on her daughter tomorrow.
After the record, Eugenie stretched and prepared to go downstairs for a meal.
As soon as she exited her room, she saw Anthony heading towards the elevator.
"Anthony, are you going downstairs for a meal too? Join me."
Anthony glanced at Eugenie but did not say anything.
Eugenie made a funny face. "What's bothering you? Your face looks so gloomy, and I don't owe you any money."
Inside the elevator, Anthony looked at Eugenie and suddenly remembered something. He asked, "Where are you planning to eat?"
"The restaurant downstairs," Eugenie replied.
She was unfamiliar with Richworth and had been dining at the hotel.
Anthony smiled. "I know a good restaurant. Would you like to join me?"
"Sure, but I don't have any money, so you'll have to treat me!"
Blair covered the hotel expenses, and Eugenie needed to save her money for something more substantial.
Anthony gave her a sidelong glance. "Stingy girl."
Thinking that he would need her help later, Anthony agreed, "Fine, I'll treat you then."
