Right after pulling off her little stunt, she didn't give the victim any time to react—just rolled out of the car and darted off like a flash. In the blink of an eye, she was already a good few dozen meters away.
Feeling safe, she turned back like some kind of rogue, flashed Julian those big pearly whites with the smuggest grin ever.
It was the kind of look that could really get under someone's skin.
Whatever Julian's reaction was, Anna didn't really care. She was feeling great, plain and simple.
Humming a little tune and practically bouncing up the stairs, she was in a damn good mood—until she reached her doorstep and instantly froze.
