Anna's words were a bit too blunt.
Andrew tilted his head slightly, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he studied her. There was something unreadable flashing through his eyes. "Oh, come on, sweetheart," he said, tossing her a playful wink, "don't sell yourself short. You've got some value—you're at least easy on the eyes."
Right after that, he gave himself a little shake and rubbed his arms like he'd just given himself chills. "Yeah, should've just kept my mouth shut. Lying doesn't suit me."
