Chapter 18
This was the plan Jacob had come up with. It was to fight fire with fire.
"Julian, Bianca keeps clinging to you because she still thinks she did nothing wrong," Jacob said that night. "She believes that she had a duty to bear Nathan's child, to carry on the family for her dead sister—especially when Bethany died saving her.
"It sounds insane. Anyone would understand how twisted that is, but we can't use normal logic to understand someone who's crazy. We have to start thinking like she does. She knew cheating was wrong, but she gave herself a noble excuse—for the family, for gratitude!
"That's why she could betray you without guilt. Now, we're going to take that same logic and throw it back in her face. We're going to have her feel what it's like when the man she loves agrees to have a child with another woman.
"After that, perhaps she'll finally understand how ridiculous she was and finally realize that there's no going back!"
Every word Jacob uttered made sense to Julian. Bian
