Hugo was utterly confused! Wasn't this house the one he rented for five hundred dollars? How did it become Zackary's? "Did you also see Zackary's name?" Jennie looked up, bewildered. "I thought I was seeing things." The two stared at each other in silence for a long time before it suddenly dawned on them. "The house on Pinkwater Alley was bought by Tina!" Jennie, with reddened eyes, threw herself into Hugo's arms, choking back tears. "I knew such a good house couldn't be rented for just five hundred dollars. Tina is really something." She felt foolish! A house as nice as the one on Pinkwater Alley would never rent out for just five hundred dollars to anyone with a bit of sense. Moreover, this community never rented out properties. Yet they had rented it at an unbelievably low price! It turned out to be Tina's own house! Hugo held Jennie, his throat dry and his heart heavy. He felt deeply indebted to Natalie and Tina.
