Jared turned at the sound, his pupils narrowing sharply as he took in the scene. "Who gave you permission to lose focus during our duel?!" Sean roared, his fist swinging violently toward Jared once more. Jared’s fury reached its peak. With a quick sidestep, he launched a retaliatory attack. Sean barely registered the gust of wind before he was sent flying, crashing through two large trees. He hit the ground hard, coughing up blood before the effects of his medicine wore off completely, leaving him unconscious. Though Jared had dealt with Sean, two more figures identical to him appeared. Unable to immediately reach Tina, Jared was forced to fend off the new attackers. Tina’s cold, unflinching gaze locked onto the village chief. "How did you bring them here?" she demanded. The chief laughed mockingly. "You think you’re so powerful, don’t you? But you forgot that our master is far more cunning than you. These two children, he brought them here himself. Without him, you’d probab
