The scepter was shaped like a black panther, burning with black flames as multiple runes circled it slowly. A wave of powerful dark energy surged out at once, hitting everyone with a wave of overwhelming dizziness. Isaac and the other pupils had no choice but to retreat even further, but cruel smiles appeared on their faces. There had never been any survivors once met with the fate of Maddox's scepter. Maddox smiled poisonously. "Do you know where this scepter came from, young man?" "I really would." Wilbur was practically drooling at the sight of the scepter. This was a rare item and would definitely make a top-tier contribution. Maddox barked out a laugh. "This is the Abyss Staff. I passed by a mysterious place while I was wandering around, and the God of Darkness blessed me with it. You should be honored to be struck dead by such a wonderful weapon." Wilbur furrowed his brows. That was not the first time he had heard of the God of Darkness. Did this god really exist? "What's wrong? Are you scared now?" Maddox burst out laughing. Wilbur smiled. "I guess this God of Darkness of yours isn't all that great, at the end of the day." Maddox had lashed out and threatened Wilbur just because he had insulted Maddox's god. He let out a powerful roar. "Darkness Falls!" His body lit up with roaring black spirit flames as dark clouds filled the sky. All at once, the air was plunged into what seemed like endless darkness. Maddox began to radiate a dark, ominous aura. The suffocating spiritual pressure weighed down on everyone as if the world was going to end. Even Lucia, Demi, and Sophie could not help the wave of terror that struck them, even if they were standing a good hundred meters away. However, Maddox's pupils seemed to have their emotions riled up out of nowhere. It was as if they had been charged with a sudden burst of gusto. They glowered at Wilbur ferociously in the dark, letting out a series of animalistic howls. "Darkness Falls: Demon's Raven!" Maddox shouted once more, his height growing at an alarming rate. Maddox's head turned into that of a three-eyed raven as a pair of black wings extended from his back. Each of his outstretched hands held a blazing black scythe. The Abyss Staff rose into the air, letting out dark spiritual energy above his head that seemed to burrow into Maddox's body. Maddox had morphed into some strange monster looking like a demon from hell, emanating a terrifying aura as he laughed wildly.
