Chapter 1151

"Ah, that explains the attitude," Wilbur snorted. Lucius eyed him coldly. "On your knees this very second, then. You're going to apologize to our master and tell us about Morgan's ploy. We might consider sparing your life then." "Kneel." "Kneel." "Kneel." The crowd behind began to chant at the top of their voices. Wilbur frowned. Shepard took a step forward, waving his hand. The Nature Longsword lit up with a crystal-clear glow in his hand. "Another word and I won't be as nice," he said calmly. Isaac did not seem scared in the slightest, puffing out his chest. "You're no more than another loser my master defeated! How dare you still show your face here?" "I'm a follower of Master Penn now. Anyone who disrespects him shall be punished." As he spoke, Shepard's sword lit up with roaring spiritual flames. An immense spiritual pressure began to surge out. Isaac and the others felt their chests lurch. After all, Shepard was a Super Sanctuary level cultivator. Despite the fact that they were cultivators themselves, Isaac had just entered Sanctuary level himself. His other pupils were mostly at the Ambience level, while the rest of the crowd were at the Aura level. They were no match for Shepard. Just then, Maddox's voice boomed across the room, "I'm here, I'm here! Let me take a look at which self-proclaimed hero wants to challenge me." All that could be seen was Maddox's figure rising from the courtyard, a hundred meters into the air. He then began to make his way over to the square, one step at a time. A cloud appeared below his foot with every step he took, as if he was a god. Isaac and the other pupils immediately got up to bow when they saw their master. Maddox landed in the square, sitting down on the chair as he sized Wilbur and Shepard up. Shepard put his sword away, standing behind Wilbur. Maddox chuckled. "At least you're self-aware to some extent. I don't know if I can say the same about Trevor Penn over here, though." Wilbur smiled, summoning Dark Disperse and flicking it to light it up with spiritual flames. "Let's cut the crap. I heard you've got some valuable treasure on you, and I'd like to see it for myself. Show it to me, now." Maddox burst out laughing, shaking his head at Wilbur. "You sure are cocky for someone so young. Do you really think I would need to use my precious treasure on you?" Wilbur pointed the Dark Disperse at Maddox. "That's up to you. I just hope you won't regret it after you die." "How dare you!" Maddox flared up instantly, slamming a hand on the armrest of his chair and standing up. The enormous wooden armchair was reduced to dust at once. "I was even thinking of sparing your life, but it seems like you've lost that chance now." As he spoke, a terrifying spiritual pressure surged out of Maddox as fierce winds kicked up in the air. His pupils retreated to the back for their safety, eyeing Wilbur coldly as if he was going to die for sure. Wilbur nodded his head. "That's more like it. You should face your fights properly, with none of that yapping." "You have a death wish!" Maddox roared. His body lit up with spiritual flames as he prepared a few simple spells within his palms, merging them together at the end. "Storm of Dark Ravens!" All at once, the air above the square was completely covered by thick, dense clouds. An overwhelming sense of terror overtook everyone, making them tremble. The next second, those dark clouds turned into countless three-eyed ravens. Each bird burned brightly with black flames on its body, letting out a piercing cry while soaring toward Wilbur with terrifying power. That was a mid-tier spell, and Maddox had cast it effortlessly. He was definitely a Super Sanctuary level.
