Chapter 3019
After observing the Saturna Peach Tree for some time and seeing that it was growing vigorously within his Small Thousand Worlds, Severin decided to withdraw his consciousness.
Tallying his harvest, he was overjoyed by the abundance of treasure that he had acquired. The hundreds of thousands of kilograms of metal Uru were not even worth a mention, in his opinion, as he no longer found them appealing at his ability. What he found most interesting was the 30 pieces of divine gold that he obtained from the spatial ring, along with two divine techniques and fragments of the Saturna Peach Tree. The latter, in particular, facilitated the reintegration of the primordial spiritual roots into his inner world!
Among the acquisitions which he felt were most useful to him, the divine gold probably held the least value. While divine gold from the Bleu Celestial Realm were precious, they were not rarities. Nevertheless, divine gold was valuable in the refinement of celestial weapons—the greater the quantity, the stronger the resulting weapons.
There was no grading system for the celestial weapons; instead, it was the number of laws from the great path that were engraved upon them which determined their compatibility with the wielder. For example, one's signature celestial weapon would probably be able to wield immense power that was capable of tearing apart heaven and earth!
In addition to those material gains, Severin's understanding of the world of celestials and devils had grown, which helped alleviate his previous doubts. He would have already gained further insight into the Celestial Realm following the realm convergence.
Satisfied with his gains, Severin glanced over at the corpse of Eliza, whose demise did not seem to affect the strong path of death emanating from the corps. The vegetation within a radius of several miles had withered and yellowed, with the corpse situated right at the center of the deathly aura.
Back at the Devil Realm, Severin knew that he had to bring Eliza's corpse back at all costs, even when a royal celestial intervened at a critical moment. The strength of the path of death from the corpse was very strong, as Eliza was an ancient true immortal who went down the path of immortality by taking a rule of heaven and earth and making it his own. It was something not found in the modern era.
The divergence between those methods perhaps lies in Eliza's relentless pursuit of the darkest depths within the realm of true immortality until he eventually reached the zenith of attainment and attain the status of a royal celestial! Such individuals had great mastery over the great path!
Though contemporary methods of immortality did not rely solely upon the rules of heaven and earth and allowed a diverse path to immortality, Severin could not tell which one was better over the other. However, the lingering essence of the path of death within Eliza's corpse left him tantalized, and he felt certain that he could understand the path of death to a whole new level if he absorbed the corpse in him.
For true immortals, their primary goal revolved around comprehending the 3,000 paths, yet such understanding did not come with ease. Each path represented the ultimate pinnacle of heaven and earth—the manifestation of what could be described as the material truth of all that existed in the world. It was beyond the grasp of most normal people throughout their lifetimes.
Severin's achievement of becoming a late-stage true immortality within two years owed much to the attributed to the heavenly heart imprints and the original space of Bleurealm. Without them, he might remain forever stuck as an early-stage true immortal!
Aside from his proficiency in the space-time path that he had chosen as well as swordsmanship, Severin's comprehension of other paths' laws remained superficial. Though he had recently reached small success with them, the road to mastery or perfection stretched indefinitely before him.
Merely perfecting a single path to perfection would not afford him the opportunity to plumb the depths of his third self from the river of time, much less realize his aim to become a royal celestial and to discover his true self! After all, each royal celestial reigned supreme over their respective domain!
Though Severin practices the Inner World Skill, the growth and advancement of the Small Thousand Worlds would allow him to make a breakthrough. However, the laws within became more difficult to comprehend after he became a true immortal.
The path of death that was so rich within Eliza's corpse proved to be a prospect far too exciting for him.
