Chapter 2342
With that thought in mind, Hector withdrew his aggressive stance and spoke to Severin, "I'm afraid there's been a misunderstanding, brother. I'm a member of the Burke clan from the Eastern Wilderness. This woman has taken a precious item of great importance to my family. I hope you won't be misled by her!"
Hector, after revealing his identity, carefully observed Severin's expressions. The Burke clan was one of Eight Great Clans of the Eastern Wilderness, renowned throughout the entire Bluerealm. An ordinary level three paragon, upon hearing the Burkes' name, would tremble in fear.
Considering Severin's extraordinary combat prowess displayed earlier, Hector did not want to escalate the situation further. Instead, he took the initiative to disclose his affiliation.
When Severin heard Hector's admission, his expression remained calm and unchanged, showing no ripples of emotion.
"Leave," uttered Severin simply.
Linden could not contain his anger when he heard that. His muscles bulged suddenly, making him visibly larger.
"How dare you meddle in the Burke clan's affairs!" Linden's face turned bright red as he angrily shouted.
Hector's expression darkened instantly. There was no way they would let Callie escape when they had pursued her for so long and were on the verge of capturing her.
The treasure map Callie took was very important to the Burkes. They could not afford to let Severin interfere.
Hector gripped his sword tightly, and said unsympathetically, "Since you won't step aside, prepare to die!"
He swung his longsword, and a terrifying aura blade pierced the starry sky. It cut through the void like a sharp blade slicing through paper, instantly creating several fissures in the empty space.
Severin scoffed at the sight. "You're only a level three paragon, yet you're so arrogant! Sky-Soil Heptagold Sword Energy, slash!"
He raised his hand, and the Scarletsky Sword shimmered with spiritual radiance. With a swift swing, drawing an arc of a crescent moon, a horrifying wave of energy burst forth.
Schling!
A sword beam, stretching for thousands of miles, shot up from the ground! Countless mysterious Sky-Soil Heptagold Sword Energy condensed on the sword beam, and the terrifying aura instantly annihilated the void for hundreds of yards in all directions. Even the elements of earth, water, wind, and fire were turned into dust before they came roaring out.
With a thunderous boom, Hector's body was instantly sent to another realm!
Linden's eyes widened in horror as he witnessed his elder brother being killed in an instant. He was painfully aware that Severin's power far surpassed his own.
Without a second thought, Linden turned to flee. However, Severin was having none of that.
He swung his Scarletsky Sword again, sending a massive Sky-Soil Heptagold Sword Energy slashing fiercely at Linden. In an instant, Linden's body was cleaved in half.
In his final moments, Linden stared at Severin with terror, resentment, and disbelief as his life came to an end.
"Huh. Don't get too cocky now. The Burkes will make you two pay for this!"
Linden's life force grew weaker with each passing moment, and only then did Callie snap out of her shock.
Callie stared at Severin in astonishment. "Did… did you just kill them with a single attack?"
Severin smiled. "If not? They were just small fries, so there was no need to exchange hundreds of moves with them."
Callie was deeply skeptical of what Severin said. How was it possible that the two Burke disciples who had been chasing after her for so long could not even withstand a single attack from Severin?
