Chapter 26
"Miss, if you refuse to leave, I'll have to remove you myself," Nathaniel warned as he picked up a stick from the yard and pointed it at Yvonne.
Tears welled up in Yvonne's red-rimmed eyes. "I'm not leaving!" she yelled.
At the next second, the stick in Nathaniel's hand came down across her body.
"You're hurting me, Nathaniel!" Yvonne cried. "How could you actually hit me?"
Quinley also walked over and fixed Yvonne with a cold stare. "You trespassed on private property, after all. We have the right to defend ourselves. Even if we beat you until you're crippled, we won't be held responsible for it."
After a few hits, Yvonne finally understood that Nathaniel had truly changed—he no longer cared about her.
If that was the case, she had no choice but to use other means.
Suddenly, Yvonne lunged at Nathaniel, throwing herself onto him and grabbing onto his right leg. Despite his efforts to shake her off, she clung tightly to his pant leg.
