Chapter 90
Rosalie asked, "Daddy, do you think I'll be as pretty as Ms. Cece?"
"We'll only know when you grow up," Cameron responded.
Teresa heard laughter and chatter drifting down the stairs. She turned toward the sound. Cecilia and Cameron were each holding one of Rosalie's hands, their figures gradually emerging from the shadows.
For a moment, they looked just like a family of three.
Teresa sat in a conspicuous spot, and all three of them noticed her.
Rosalie immediately let go of Cameron and Cecilia's hands. She gazed at Teresa, who was quietly seated in the dining room.
"Mommy?"
Teresa looked up at her and said, "Yes. Come and eat your breakfast. I made you your favorite oatmeal."
Rosalie's face lit up. She rushed down the stairs and ran to the table. Leaning over the pot, she fanned the rising steam and inhaled deeply. "Wow! Mommy's oatmeal! I haven't had it in so long. Thank you, Mommy."
Children were forgetful by nature. Rosalie had already forgotten Teresa's anger at the Sutt
