Chapter 115
Teresa lowered her head to look at her daughter. There was a clear tangle of complicated feelings in Rosalie's eyes, but Teresa ignored it and only said to her, "You're not feeling well. I'll stay here with you."
Rosalie's little face scrunched up. "Mommy, did Daddy tell you I wasn't feeling well?"
After taking Rosalie's pajamas out of the wardrobe, Teresa merely hummed in response.
Hearing that Cameron had said she wasn't feeling well, Rosalie didn't dare say anything more. After thinking for a moment, as if suddenly remembering something, she said to Teresa, "Then Mommy, wait for me a bit. I'll go downstairs to have a glass of milk and come right back up."
Rosalie did have the habit of drinking milk before bed, but usually Teresa brought it up for her.
During the time Teresa wasn't at Joy Garden, it was Leah who delivered it to the bedroom. There was really no need for Rosalie to go downstairs herself.
