For reasons Cameron couldn't quite place, a sudden irritation welled up inside him.
Sensing the shift in his mood, Cecilia lowered her voice and asked, "Cam, what's wrong?"
Cameron forced a smile. "It's nothing. You said you were hungry earlier—eat."
Cecilia nodded, choosing not to press further.
Soon after, Teresa and Gary finished their dinner and stood to leave.
As if worried that Teresa might notice Cameron, Gary deliberately led her out through a different exit.
Cameron saw it all but gave no further thought. To him, Teresa could do whatever she wanted. As long as Rosalie was cared for, nothing else mattered.
