"Hey, come over for a sec," Ethan made a quick call to Ryan. "What now? I haven't even chewed you out yet, and you're already calling me?" Ryan snapped, still fuming over how Bella treated him, and blaming Ethan for it. "Cut the crap," Ethan replied bluntly before hanging up. Right after, Ryan got a text from Ethan with an unfamiliar address. Worried something might've happened, Ryan didn't argue and drove straight over. "What happened? Are you hurt again?" Ryan asked as soon as he rushed in. "It's not me. It's Claire. Can you check if her wound got wet or something?" Ryan finally noticed there was someone else in the room. "Lily—" He paused mid-sentence when he caught a look at Claire's face. "She's not Lily. Her name's Claire. Just check the wound and see if it's okay." "Ethan, are you out of your mind? That cut's already healed. How could it have gotten wet?" Ryan glanced at Claire's forehead and felt his anger surge even more. "Then how come she came outta the shower looking like—"
