Chapter 480 Heart-rending

He bumped into a few neighbors that he was acquainted with along the way. The neighbors were rather startled by the sight of Zayn’s fierce appearance so they did not have the courage to greet him. It was true that Zayn’s current appearance was terrifying and one could even describe him as ferocious-looking even. It was as if he had turned into a completely different person. At last, he dasheed up to Carter's floor at his fastest speed. In the corridor, he saw a few people standing at the entrance so he felt the ball of raging flame in his chest being reignited again! A few of the people looked over to him after hearing the sound of his footsteps while someone notified the people in the house, “Mr. Morales, he’s here.” Miles’ bantering voice was heard coming from the house, “Ah, he’s here huh. Invite him in, quick. I’ve been waiting for him for such a long time, hah-hah.” Zayn tried his very best to control his emotions as he walked straight into the house. At once, he witnessed a scene that made him burn with raging fire and he had fiery sparks flying out of his eyes in anger! He could see Faye and her parents were bound up on the floor and there were obvious slap marks on Faye’s face as well. Her eyes were fully reddened and swollen from crying. Zayn felt his heart wrenched in pain when he saw how terrified and aggrieved Faye was. The fiery rage that he had been suppressing constantly filled his entire body at this very moment akin to a volcano eruption! He was so furious that his body was shaking beyond his control and he was breathing heavily like a bull. On the other hand, traces of being beaten up could be seen on Ruby and Waine as well. At this very moment, Zayn was furious yet guilty because it was him who implicated them! He had a shameful, regretful and sympathetic expression when he walked over to Faye and wiped away the tears on her face gently. He said, “I’m sorry, Fifi. It’s my fault for getting you in trouble this time. I’m really sorry for that.” He had never felt more ashamed and guilty of himself than he had today. He felt as if his whole heart had been compressed into a ball! He would be fine if he was the one being tortured, yet he felt awfully guilty knowing that Faye and her entire family were suffering because of him. Faye had been holding back her tears constantly with great effort and the walls she built around her went crumbling down upon hearing Zayn’s words. She broke down and could not stop crying. Her tears streamed down her face beyond her control. On the other hand, Zayn felt even more upset to see her in her current state. At the same time, he felt even more furious and deranged in his heart such that he was about to lose the ability to suppress these emotions completely! The only thing Zayn could do was hold her and apologize to her profusely. Ruby scolded, “What’s the point of apologizing huh! Have you not been getting in trouble elsewhere, would we be implicated by you huh. In order to cover up for you, Fifi refused to call you regardless in fear that you will be beaten to death. However, Miles did not show the slightest fear when he noticed how ferocious Zayn was. On the contrary, he burst out laughing aloud. “Hah-hah-hah, I’m seeking doom? Very well, come at me and show me how you’re going to kill me!”
