Chapter 1684 It’s Up To Her To Make A Decision
Jules put away the money with a grin and said, “Okay, just inform your King that her Uncle Jules is here.”
“Sure!”
While Jules waited at the pier, the guard turned around and went to Komodo Island to report to Olympias. Jules resumed his observation around the island. He then closed his eyes and gently felt it. He reopened his eyes after a while.
“I sense a lot of extraordinary auras! Is this really an organization that ascends from mortal cities?” Jules wondered out loud. “Why do I sense so much outstanding inner strength here?”
While Jules was still surprised by the revelation, Olympias marched toward him with the guard showing her the way.
Olympias’s expression became quite complicated when she made eye contact with Jules. Meanwhile, Jules had a faint smile curled on his lips.
“What’s the deal with that expression? You haven’t seen me in over ten years, so you no longer recognize me?”
Olympias remained motionless for a long time before slowly opening her mouth and saying, “Uncle Jules, why are you here?”
“Well, I made a trip all the way here to invite you home. Why else am I here? Do you intend to leave me standing here forever?” Jules teased.
“Uncle Jules, please come inside.”
Olympias’ father was framed by a villain back then. It led to the expulsion of the entire family from the clan, and eventually the family withered away. Olympias despised the White family, but she couldn’t resent Jules at all..
The reason being that Jules used to have a good relationship with her family since she was a child. Olympias enjoyed playing with her uncle when she was younger. Jules would take her outside whenever the spring flowers bloomed to fly kites and catch butterflies. Regis would occasionally join them when he had free time.
Regis had a total of nine children, including his illegitimate son, Dillon. Regis’ favorite child was his second son, Zeph, and his favorite among the many grandchildren of three generations was the whimsical Olympias at the time. If the accursed incident hadn’t occurred back then, Zeph would have been the White family patriarch a long time ago.
With Olympias leading him, Jules went with her to her villa on the island.
Jim was already at the door, waiting for them. He couldn’t stand up and salute when he saw Olympias bring Jules over. So, Jim remained seated in his wheelchair, as he saluted and greeted him, “Greetings, Uncle Jules.”
“Who is this?” Jules asked.
Olympias replied, “His name is Jim, and he is now my husband.”
“You are married?” Jules was a little surprised. Then, he sized Jim up and down again. He didn't show any dislike for the crippled Jim at all.
Instead, he said, “He is a fine-looking lad, and he looks like a good match for you. I give you two my blessings.” It was unknown whether what Jules said was polite or sincere.
“Thank you, Uncle Jules, for your blessings,” Jim said. “I’ll make the necessary arrangements for lunch. Why don’t you join us later?”
With a smile and a shake of his head, Jules said, “Don’t worry about it, I’ll just have a quick chat with Olympias and then I'll be on my way.”
Jules’s demeanor had been that of an elderly person from the beginning to the end. He lacked Jehan's arrogance and dominance. His easygoing persona shone through from the depths of his being, and he lacked the smugness that he normally carried as the young master of the White family. Because Jules treated people with respect, Jim and the others didn’t view him under a negative light. Instead, they showed him respect as well.
Jules did not enter the house. Instead, he went to a nearby quiet corner with Olympias to talk.
Meanwhile, Tyr and Clifford were sitting in the Regal Palace’s Conference Hall at the time.
“Someone has come to Olympias again. It is said that this time, the one who’s visiting is Master Jules of the White family,” Clifford played with a golden musket in his hand, as he said to Tyr next to him.
The golden musket was also scoured from the archive of the Sacred Association. The gun looked like an antique and its effect wasn't lethal, but Clifford liked it very much.
Tyr said as if it was nothing, “Whatever happens will happen. There is no way to avoid it.”
“What do you say, Boss? Do you think Oly will return to the White family this time with that man? After all, Oly had just gone out and personally invited Master Jules in.”
“Haha! How would I know about the outcome of this kind of thing?” Tyr asked with a smile. “It is up to her to make the decision.”Tyr rubbed his temples fiercely with his hands a few times. Then, he got up and stood up.
Tyr said, “Actually, I might have to visit the White family too.”
The White family was one of the Nine Great Creeds of the ancient martial arts world. The family has a long history in the Celestial Empire. There must be a large number of warriors in the clan who are skilled in a variety of cultivation techniques in the ancient martial arts world. Tyr decided to pay the White family a visit simply because the Regal Palace required such a warrior to provide proper guidance.
Tyr, on the other hand, was unsure about Olympias’ relationship with the White family. At this point, it was unclear whether they were friends or foes. Everything hinged on Olympias’s decision.
At this time, somewhere by the riverbank of Komodo Island, the river breeze was blowing gently, sweeping through Olympias’ jet black hair. Olympias fixed her gaze on the river’s surface. There was no trace of emotion on her face. Her character now appeared to be the polar opposite of her quirky and mischievous personality as a child.
“I haven’t seen you in years. You have changed,” Jules said from the side.
“Is that so?” Olympias asked. “What is different about me?”
“You are mature and steady.”
“I’m just showing you this side of me,” Olympias said with a smile. “In fact, in front of my family, I am not like this.”
“Family...”
For a brief moment, Jules was taken aback. Olympias must had referred to the members of Regal Palace as her family. From her tone, Jules deduced that Regal Palace was her home. In Olympias’ heart, the White family was excluded a long time ago. It’s possible that the White family no longer housed Olympias’ kin.
“The incident with your family back then has been resolved,” Jules sighed. “Your grandpa was aware that your family had been framed, and he has been remorseful until now.”
“Is that so?”
Olympias suddenly turned her head and stared at Jules. She asked, “Then have you found out who framed our family back then? Will justice be served to the culprits?”
“The curse was cast by a Bruja from Triora,” Jules explained. “That Bruja was later apprehended by us and executed on the spot. The organization behind that Bruja was exterminated by our White family, along with their clan.”
Olympias found this incredulous, “Bruja from Triora? A Bruja from Triora would travel all the way to the White family to frame my father? Uncle Jules, do you believe there is another mastermind behind the scenes? Even a fool wouldn’t believe you if you said there wasn’t any.”
