On the day he was to acquire Alice's art gallery, Samuel showed up early. Even though the gallery staff had told him that Catherine wouldn't be coming today, he still held onto a sliver of hope. What if she did show up? After all, Alice had poured her heart and soul into this gallery. She loved her mother so much, so how could she not come?
