"He went to your mom's room last night," Perseus replied, eyeing Creed with a hint of amusement in his gaze. He then mused that Creed—that old geezer—indeed shared a likeness with Lindsay.
"Huh?" Creed was stunned for a few seconds before he suddenly realized what Perseus meant.
His eyes were wide with fury, and his molars were grinding so hard that they could have shattered. He nearly swung at Perseus as he snarled, "You cocky piece of shit! How dare you make a fool of me? Do you even know who the hell I am?"
"Why the hell should I care who you are?" Perseus scoffed, regarding Creed as though he were gazing at a fool. He definitely wasn't one to be polite. He wouldn't humble himself or try to appease Creed just because he was an elder. He hadn't conducted himself with the dignity one expected of an elder, so he saw no reason to show him respect.
