Arrogance and boldness?
I smiled bitterly, self-deprecatingly.
What arrogance and boldness did I still have left, after I was abandoned by my family, my wolf had succumbed to slumber, and the looks I'd once been proud of were destroyed?
What right did I have to be arrogant and bold?
I was begging him for mercy for only one reason—to survive.
