Chantelle could understand that Marika was in a rush to see Terence married. But she felt immensely pressured by the three-day deadline.
She walked Marika out of the villa. When she got back indoors, she leaned against the shelf at the entrance, spacing out for quite a while.
Meryl couldn't feel at ease. After persuading Janet to play on the second floor, she decided to come downstairs to check on Chantelle. To her surprise, Marika had left. Downstairs, Chantelle was alone, looking dazed at the entrance.
"What's wrong, Chantelle?" she asked, looking at Chantelle with concern.

"Don't lie to me," Meryl reprimanded gently. "She didn't come to give you a hard time, did she? What in the world did she say to you? Did she tell you not to get back together with Terence?"
