When Chantelle heard the knock at the door, she went to welcome her visitor, thinking that it was Lily or Maryanne. The moment she saw Terence, she halted in her tracks and her smile disappeared. "Terry!" Janet called out, her face lighting up the moment she saw Terence. A sharp pain shot through Terence's heart when he saw the expression on Chantelle's face. But when he heard Janet's voice, a smile spread across his face. He greeted, "Good morning, Janie." "Are you here to bring us breakfast? Your timing is just right. I'm starving!" Janet asked, tapping her belly. Terence stood at the doorway, not entering the ward as he chatted with Janet. It wasn't because Chantelle stood in his way, but because she hadn't come back to her senses. Holding onto their breakfast in his hands, he stood there and coaxed Janet briefly before looking away from her and toward Chantelle, who was in front of him. "May I enter?" he asked.
