Caesar's words hung in the air between us, unfinished but charged with meaning.
Before I could respond, his strong hands settled naturally on my waist, preventing me from stumbling backward against my desk.
With just the slightest pressure from those powerful hands, he pulled me closer, eliminating what little space remained between us.
