The next day, just as Cassandra arrived at the office, Aidan stormed over in a fury. He raised his voice and said, "Cassandra, what the hell was that about? Were you deliberately trying to piss off Mr. Hawk? Why did you leave early? You ditched an important client!" Facing Aidan's barrage of accusations, Cassandra remained calm, her expression composed, her gaze steady. Her tone was calm and firm. "Mr. Ziegler, if you're determined to pin something on me, you'll always find a way. Were you even there? Do you know what actually happened?" He frowned, his voice still sharp with anger. "Don't try to weasel your way out of this, Cassandra. We agreed. If you didn't get the deal signed, I wouldn't sign either. Don't think you can just walk away with the money." She looked at him, disgust curling in her stomach. This was the man she had liked for years. Thankfully, she saw him for who he really was. Before she could reply, Clara sauntered over, swaying her slim waist. "Cass, you'd bette
