Jack stood outside, listening to every word Cassandra and Eleanor exchanged through the thin door. His expression was so grim that it looked like anger was about to spill over. He was still standing there, but they acted like he wasn't even there! Jack drew a deep breath, forced himself to keep calm, and knocked again. "Mom, I'm here to see you. Mom!"
