Cassandra suddenly spotted a familiar face.
Fred showed up in a simple white shirt and black cargo pants. He was as gentlemanly as she remembered him to be. At that moment, he was conversing with a few classmates in a low voice.
He looked around at the same time she did. Their eyes met from across the room.
Cassandra shot him a polite smile and looked away just in time to miss his deepening gaze.
