Elijah seemed to ignore Giselle and seemed to be speaking to himself. "My grandma seems to like you a lot. I rarely see her care for outsiders this much."
Hearing him mention Eleanor, Giselle looked toward the older woman already asleep in the front seat, a strange feeling flashing through her eyes. She could sense that Eleanor genuinely liked her. It wasn't just to provoke Anna. She lowered her gaze, unwilling to speak further.
Noticing her thoughtful expression, Elijah didn't press the matter, though he could guess some of it.
After Samuel's first wife passed away, he got together with Pamela, giving all his love to Anna while Giselle had a hard time growing up in the Lane family. Perhaps Eleanor was the first person to genuinely treat her well.
"If you truly value my grandma's care for you, you shouldn't hide things from her, nor should you let her get hurt," Elijah said seriously.
