Chapter 112
Hudson's POV
The car wasn't crowded at all.
Dominic and the driver went away to give them privacy. Christina and Hudson sat alone in the big backseat of the black car. The privacy partition was up, and the world outside was barely visible through the tinted windows.
Christina settled into the leather seat, still processing what had just happened with Finn. She reached for a bottle of water from the small refrigerator built into the side panel and took a long drink.
"Is this from Carmen's restaurant?" she asked, eyeing the paper bag suspiciously.
"Yes," Hudson replied distantly. His eyes were fixed on a droplet of water that had escaped the corner of her mouth. She caught him staring and licked her lips.
"You really didn't need to bring me lunch," she said, dabbing her mouth with a napkin. "There are plenty of places to eat around Nyx. And this isn't exactly on your way from the pack meeting."
