Chapter 981 Bumping into Minerva at the Hospital

Worried about Lucas's condition, I frowned and said, "He still has pieces of glass in his hand. He could hurt himself." Yaron quickly took some wound treatment supplies and bandages out of the medical kit and handed them to me. Then, he directed Astoria, "Help her clean and disinfect the wound as soon as possible, then bandage it up." Astoria nodded repeatedly. Then, he took a sedative and went into the bathroom. Just as I was about to follow, Astoria pulled me back, saying, "Ms. Scott, let me treat your wound. It needs to be disinfected quickly, or it could be dangerous." I hesitated for a moment and looked toward the bathroom. I probably could not be of any help by going in now, so I nodded at Astoria. Following Yaron's instructions, she disinfected my wound, applied medication, and bandaged the cut area. She frowned as she looked at my hand and said, "Ms. Scott, Mr. Lucas is too dangerous. We need to find a solution." I nodded, feeling lost. Besides keeping him here, where else could he go? Sending him to a rehabilitation center would quickly reveal his identity. In just a few minutes, the bathroom quieted down, and Yaron came out. I asked him, "How is he?" "He's stabilized for now," Yaron said, frowning at my injury. "Ms. Scott, you need to go to the hospital for a check-up immediately." I was taken aback and shook my head. "No need. I..." "Drug users can carry various unknown viruses. You should not take this lightly, Ms. Scott. You've just been injured, and no one can guarantee his blood hasn't come into contact with your wound. If there's a problem, we need to act quickly to prevent it getting worse," Yaron looked at me earnestly. This was something I had not considered, so I was momentarily stunned. "Dr. Wacket is right, Ms. Scott. I'll accompany you to the hospital to get a blood test done quickly. Let's go," Astoria also came to her senses and started to pull me to go to the hospital. I was concerned about Lucas and looked at Yaron. "His condition..." "Don't worry, I'm a doctor. I can handle it. You go to the hospital," he assured me. It seemed that was the only option. Hence, Astoria and I hurried to the hospital to get a blood test. While waiting for the results, my mind was still in a daze. "Minerva!" Astoria exclaimed with surprise. Regaining my focus, I saw Minerva, who we had just parted with in the morning, entering the hospital from outside. Hearing Astoria's voice, Minerva was momentarily startled. Then she was equally surprised, exclaiming, "Astoria... Ms. Scott, what are you doing here?" "We came to the hospital for a check-up," Astoria replied almost without thinking and looked at her. "What are you doing here? No, wait, when did you come to Tully City? How come you didn't contact me when you arrived?" She bombarded her with a series of questions, and Minerva answered them one by one as she smiled. Then, she looked at me before saying, "Ms. Scott, so you came to see Astoria. What happened to your hand?" "It's nothing, just a minor cut. I came to the hospital to have it checked. How about you? Why are you here?" I asked, feeling curious. She did not continue to inquire about my injury. Instead, she explained, "It's about Ms. Sanchez. I was inquiring about the collaboration project between Mr. Young and Ms. Sanchez and happened to meet with her. Ms. Fuller seemed to have a bit of trouble adjusting to Tully City's environment, and Ms. Sanchez couldn't leave her. Coincidentally, she ran into me and asked me to accompany Ms. Fuller to the hospital." I nodded, then spotted Ramona nearby, looking rather pale. I did not say much more, letting her go about her business. Astoria heard the doctor calling for the report and hurried over. Before leaving, Minerva said, "By the way, Ms. Scott, Mr. Young and Ms. Sanchez are signing for a few plots of land near Tully City." "A few plots of land?" She nodded. "Yes, I heard Mr. Young plans to open a few large factories near Tully City, so he's buying those plots of land from Ms. Sanchez. They're preparing to start construction soon." I could not understand why Idris was suddenly planning to build new factories near Tully City. Nonetheless, I did not delve further, simply advising her to take Ramona to see the doctor. She hummed in acknowledgment and left with Ramona. At the same time, Astoria returned with the medical report, scrutinizing it so closely her eyes nearly touched the paper. Seeing her study it so intently, I could not help saying, "If the doctor said it's fine, then it should be fine. Let's go back to the house." I was truly worried about Lucas's condition. She hummed in response and handed me the medication the doctor prescribed. "The doctor said to take preventive medicine for now and come back in seven days for a follow-up. If there's really no issue, then it's going to be okay."
