Chapter 17
When Elsie woke up again, she saw Caspian sitting on the couch in front of her.
She scrambled to get up, retreating as fast as she could. "What do you want, Caspian? I've already given you a child. We're done now!"
Caspian sneered as he stood up, holding a cup in his hand, and slowly walked toward her.
"Done? How could we be done? You ruined Shannon's face behind my back and almost had her assaulted. We still haven't settled the score for that."
Elsie's eyes widened in fear, and her body trembled. But then, as if recalling something, she suddenly stood up and stared at him.
"What do you mean, a score? If you hadn't indulged me, I would have never found the chance to hurt her."
The more she spoke, the more confident she became. She smiled mockingly.
"Come to think of it, we're accomplices, aren't we? You're quick to point out my faults. But what about yours?"
