Chapter 21
Catherine decided to use Fiona's hatred toward her to test how deeply Raphael cared for her. After all, Fiona had been neglected by Raphael for five months, and he had even canceled their wedding. Raphael had told her to forget the proposal altogether.
While Catherine wasn't entirely sure if she would emerge from this unscathed, she believed it was worth the risk. After all, without taking chances, how could she possibly know what the outcome would be? She had prepared herself mentally and hoped that Fiona wouldn't disappoint her.
Catherine held the card in her hand and made her way through the dimly lit bar to the private room.
The setup was simple—Fiona had called her, claiming that Raphael was wasted in a private room and insisting that Catherine come to pick him up.
The warmth inside the private room stood in stark contrast to the biting cold outside. But despite the cozy environment, Catherine felt as though she had stepped into a freezer.
A well-built man named Tate Lawson
