Chapter 802 Suddenly Summoned Her
Vickie Thomas did not go far and sat for a while in the garden in front of the auxiliary building.
The warm sunlight shone overhead, like a huge ball of soft cotton that wrapped her up in layer after layer of warmth.
Andrea was right beside her. She was afraid that Vickie would catch a cold and had specially brought out a thin blanket for her.
"Ms. Thomas, the lotus flowers in the pond over there are about to bloom. Would you like to go over and take a look?"
There was a big pond at the outermost part of the garden of the chateau. Mr. Osborne usually had people to maintain it and Gregory Graham seldom went there.
Mr. Osborne felt that the pond was too empty and not very pretty, so he had asked for some lotus flowers to be transplanted there.
It was only April at that time, so it was not the season for lotus flowers to bloom.
Perhaps due to the warming climate, or perhaps because of the different varieties that Mr. Osborne had ordered to be transplanted, several flowers had already bloomed at this time.
Vickie contemplated. Since she had nothing better to do, she might as well go and have a look.
She went along with it.
Andrea then happily pushed her over to the pond.
When they got there, there were many large pink and white flowers on the floating lotus leaves.
Some of them were only flower buds, but most of them had already bloomed.
Andrea was a little surprised.
"Wow! I just came a few days ago to check it out and they were all still buds then. How did they bloom so quickly?"
As she said this, she ran over and picked one.
Vickie looked at the flower that was as white as snow, contrasted with the green leaves below, it looked delicate and beautiful. Just one glance made her feel a hint of sympathy in her heart and also made her subconsciously curl her lips into a smile.
"You just picked Uncle Osborne's flowers! If he finds out, you’re in trouble!" She said jokingly.
Andrea snorted lightly.
"No way! Uncle Osborne’s really nice. The last time those flowers he planted bloomed, he even specially asked someone to pick some and gave it to us. He said that if there are flowers in a lady’s room, the lady would also look more energetic, so he definitely won't mind!"
Vickie smiled slightly at the words.
Mr. Osborne had always been like this. He was always kind and considerate towards anyone.
The two of them were joking and laughing when Andrea suddenly froze.
She trotted over in a few steps to Vickie's side and whispered, "Ms. Thomas, isn’t that Ms. Lynch?"
Vickie tilted her head slightly and looked over in the direction Andrea was pointing at.
Sure enough, she saw Yuliana Lynch walking hurriedly towards the other direction with her head slightly bowed.
Andrea frowned.
"Where is she going? That way...isn't that where Young Master lives? Didn't Young Master say that no one was allowed to go over to him during the day?"
Vickie's face dulled, but her eyes darkened.
She said blankly, "There's probably something going on."
After she said that, she withdrew her gaze.
Andrea noticed Vickie’s expression. There seemed to be nothing different about Vickie’s face, and she even looked uninterested, but her eyes had flickered slightly.
Immediately afterward, Andrea smiled and said, "It should be. Otherwise, why would Young Master meet Ms. Lynch when he hates her so much? Even if he wanted to meet someone, he would meet you instead!"
Vickie’s fingers that were caressing her skirt faltered.
She looked up and gazed at Andrea.
Her gaze was sharp, like a knife that could split a blade. She looked directly at Andrea and asked, "Why did you say that?"
Andrea smiled brightly.
"It's true! Everyone can see that Young Master's heart is with you, Ms. Thomas. Ms. Lynch is just refusing to admit it. Say, how many times did Young Master take the initiative to see you? And how many times did he go to her? If it wasn't for her shamelessly presenting herself to him every time, perhaps Young Master would have already forgotten that there's someone like her living in the chateau."
Vickie's lips curled up in a sneer and looked at Andrea with a seeming gaze.
"Oh? Who taught you to say these things?"
Andrea paused.
When she met Vickie’s gaze, she saw that Vickie was clearly smiling, but her eyes had a thin layer of coldness that covered them like ice.
She suddenly realized something and changed her expression. She then quickly explained, "I'm just talking nonsense, Ms. Thomas. Please don’t..."
"Don't say it again in the future."
Vickie withdrew her gaze with an impassive look as if she did not want to find trouble with Andrea anymore.
She looked forward and said lightly, "She and I are not the same kind of person. We can't be compared. Gregory and I are also not in the kind of relationship you imagine, so whether they’re close or whether he has approached her, has nothing to do with me at all. Don't say such words in front of me in the future."
Andrea was stunned.
She carefully glanced at Vickie’s face, only to see that she looked firm and resolute, without the slightest hint of jest.
Only then did Andrea realize that Vickie was serious.
She did not dare to say anything else and just muttered, "Yes, I understand."
Vickie had lost the mood to continue her walk after that.
She did not sit for long and allowed Andrea to push her back.
Back in her room, she remembered what Andrea had just said and laughed at herself.
‘Gregory had her in his heart?’
‘Ha! I'm just afraid that even Gregory himself wouldn't believe this.’
She felt the irony in her heart and simply did not bother to think about it anymore. She threw these thoughts to the back of her mind and took a rest.
At that moment, on the other side.
Yuliana's heart was leaping in delight.
After staying in the castle for so long, this was the first time Gregory had summoned her.
Although she still did not know why he had called her to the main building, after she considered the possibilities, it could not be anything bad.
Moreover, the fact that he was willing to call her here was already a blessing for her. It represented an important step forward in their relationship.
Whatever he asked her to do this time, she would agree to it.
Even if it was...to offer up herself.
When she thought of this, she only felt more excited.
Soon, she entered the lobby of the main building, only to see that Harold was already waiting there. When he saw her, he smiled slightly and stepped forward.
"Ms. Lynch, you're here. The boss is waiting for you upstairs."
Upstairs?
Yuliana's heart was shaken.
Upstairs was Gregory's restricted personal space, and usually, no one was allowed to go there.
Last time, she used great effort to barge into his study but was almost thrown out.
Yet he deliberately invited her up today?
Was he ready to fully accept her?
When she considered this, Yuliana only felt a surge of excitement. Her heart was hopping like a little rabbit.
She nodded, followed Harold, and quickly walked upstairs.
At that moment, in a drawing room upstairs.
Gregory Graham was not alone in the exquisitely and luxuriously decorated room.
On the spacious sofa, a middle-aged man was sitting there with his slender legs crossed. His back languidly leaned against the sofa with one hand on the armrest while the other held a fine cigar. He squinted slightly in a smile as he exhaled smoke whilst talking to Gregory.
As for Gregory, he still had the same cool and reserved look as he sat opposite the man on another sofa. He looked calm and self-assured, with a trace of sharpness and shrewdness in his eyes.
